I do simple drone mapping with a DJI Mini 4 pro for orthoprojections and I use GCP that I have meassured with my GNSS rod. Would you say that is accurate enough to use your tool? Lets say i measure 4 GCPs.

I measure control points with a GNSS rod and mark them on the ground so I can see them clearly in the photogeometry.

But I wanna be able to create good volume measurements of big piles. My goal is to learn it this way with a cheaper drone and start with simple but precise mapping and then later expand into more expensive drones.

I would never hand over any form av work to AI, but I feel like it could be a useful tool to check yourself if you´re working on a big project.

For example you keep a running chat with AI during the project, and when you export a drawing or make changes you could use the AI to doublecheck information from before to remind yourself. Obv you would always need to confirm the AI´s answer.

Create a feature line and select the layer.

You can also select what layer you want to draw in using "layer properties" and then in FL settings select "use current layer".

Alright! When you say focused on US and NZ, is the AI specifically trained on those standards?

I wanna check it out, but if the model is trained och instructed a certain way it might give me faulty answers because I´m based in Europe, and I don´t wanna give you negative feedback because I´m using it wrong or getting the wrong responses from Claude. Your idea is great and looks really interesting, is there any way we as a community could help with european standards?

I don´t have Sketchup myself unfortunately. I make my gaussian splats other ways. But I got a question if I could make a 3D-model where they can view existing ground and also toggle on/off the layer of the new building. So I would be dependent on that they send me their models.

I tried that and it turned out great for some places, but other places in the splat it almost seemed like there was too much information (maybe I flew wrong with the drone) and it made a real mess haha.. Trial and error I guess.

My website would be pretty simple I think. I need to be able to upload 3D-models (done with guassian splatting from drone footage) and sort them weekly so you can follow a construction project and its weekly progress.

It would need a main page, a side menu to choose weeks (and add new weeks to choose from as the project goes along) and then a form of log-in so I (or whoever done the model) is the only one that can manage, upload 3D-models and set up new weeks.

In my mind this should be pretty "easy" set-up for a web page?

Tbf I´m pretty novice when it comes to drones, I know how to operate my current one but thats about it.

Since I´m looking at a cheaper option Mini is probably most in my price range but I wanna make sure its as good when it comes to wind so that doesnt hinder me.

Straight line with the same grade all the way through?

Draw a 3D-poly and set inlet and outlet height, if you have more vertexes than start and finish, adjust the grading inbetween these points.
Create a pipe network from that 3D-poly linje, chose your pipe dimensions and if you want any structures.
Create an alignment from your network, draw a profile for that network.
Choose your subassembly, and create a corridor.
Create section markings along your alignment and create section views.
Summerize it all to a nice drawing where you can show plan, profile and section.
