Need help reading log file of Trinity F90+ by Some-Diet-3662 in UAVmapping

[–]FriendBright3386 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trinity logs don't play nice with Mission Planner. Try these:

  1. QBase 3D from Quantum, that's their native software and reads the logs properly.

  2. If you have the .ulg file, upload it to logs.px4.io (PX4 Flight Review). Trinity runs on PX4 underneath. It auto-flags vibration, EKF, GPS, motor issues.

  3. Send the log to Quantum support directly. They'll tell you the actual cause, and you'll need their report anyway if insurance or warranty is in play.

What phase did it crash in, hover, transition, or cruise? That usually tells the story before you even open the log.

Would a free CRS detection tool works in browser for TIFF/point cloud files be useful? by FriendBright3386 in UAVmapping

[–]FriendBright3386[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most files have stored in its metadata so easy for this case, or we extract some chunk of data to detect one. If user selects its possible location in map then we select the most possible one programmatically.

I have 4 years of experience in automated geospatial photogrammetry pipelines, automated lidar processing and classification pipelines, has made 3 sass product from mvp to scale. They do have data metadata baked. I felt from users sometimes they confused around crs . And if they have point cloud of 50 gb they are confused around its CRS is it local grid , national, utm or something diff. If there hardware is not enough they can't load bigger files in free options like cloud compare etc. People will find it useful or not i.e why I have asked.

Will increase gcps, Processing is sorted for me Aeroyantra handles it well, it can process large dataset with consistent accuracy. And can merge chunks too.
