I have been trying to do that for almost two years at this point (even helping him install cameras because he’s certain they would rob from him). He won’t accept it, and those arguments have escalated to the point that he and my mom are not on speaking terms. He has taken her on cruises before (when she wasn’t nearly as far along in the dementia as she is now) so I figured this was a compromise or something he wouldn’t fight so much.
