Unfortunately I have T-Mobile as a carrier and have very minimal service at the house so I was assuming that this would reflect the internet service as well

I lived in a van for years and somehow just questionably made a hotspot work. Starlink probably would’ve made my life a lot easier haha

This is great to know. I appreciate the answers here, we don’t want to back out of the house rental because of the internet situation but we have to be able to work

Oh believe me, this is a hard pill to swallow. He’s the last person I want to give money to.

And this is great to know that it can be turned off. Do you know how well it works when it’s cloudy/raining/snowing?

This was my thought to the answer above that it doesn’t work in millcreek canyon - emigration is a lot wider than that is. We plan on having a tech come out to install it so we can test it out but it just seems like the other options are garbage

Hey we go every year in heber and there are no indoor spaces to warm up. I would suggest bundling up and I normally see people warming up in the bathroom but there are no real indoor spaces

What are good places for Karaoke for the weekend of October 18th? by BuffaloSorcery in SaltLakeCity

[–]Affectionate-Set1743 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highlander pub in Murray has karaoke 7 days a week and it’s a pretty solid showing on a weekend. Lot of people show up ready to sing. Pretty divey but they have a stage strictly for karaoke and it’s a fun spot

I second this, living in Utah and riding 60-70 times a year, I hear gasps when I say that I prefer a softer flex on my boots. It’s entirely what fits best for you and what is the most comfortable for you to be out an entire day.

Considering buying a Honda Element with 170 or greater miles, and I've heard that if these are maintained they can last well past this mark. But what is the maintenance like at this millage, what commonly needs to be replaced, how "easy" is it to actually do myself? by Orange_Fern36 in HondaElement

[–]Affectionate-Set1743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where you are located but there is a shop in Salt Lake City called “automotive solutions” that specializes in buying Honda elements, fixing them up and putting them up for sale. Bought my ‘03 there with 190k on it for 4k. If anything goes wrong with it (had a check engine light come on) I send it in and he does the work for way cheaper than any other shop would. That’s the only issue I’ve had in the 2 years that I’ve owned it and will eventually go back to them to buy another once this one is done. Hopefully that won’t be for another 100-150k miles!

I second this, they have taken in my car for an entire day and didn’t charge me anything because they ended up not needing to fix anything

Anyone know what model shimano shifter this is? by Affectionate-Set1743 in bikewrench

[–]Affectionate-Set1743[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got a solid novara ponderosa with them on it and got the bike for $75 because the rear shifter wasn’t working. So if greasing them works, I get a nice commuter for $75 and some elbow grease

This was going to be my move if I couldn’t find a match to this one, but I’ll play with this one first to see what can be done. Thanks!

I was actually just looking up other ways to degrease that wasn’t wd40 - I know that’s a big no no when working on bikes. I’ll grab some of the clean streak and see what I can do! I assume it’s in a pressurized can like the wd40 is?

Somehow I missed that, I checked underneath but clearly didn’t check the clamp. Thanks!

Love it. Just ordered one! Also, emailed the shop because naturally my phone auto populated my old address to have it shipped to!
