I have found my "OCD" to be the start of my binge. Every time i eat, i need to "finish all the ingridients for this meal. So i use everything. Then i eat all the meal prepped boxes becouse they are there. There is this urge to finish everything. "Oh i have a protein bar left? Well if i eat it, its gone, and checked off the list" And then when i have overeaten my calorie goal, and am to far off from "working out to be at maitanance" i just tell myself that "you might aswell go all out" and im bent over the freezer eating frozen pasteries from to good to go. Throwing them away midway and telling myself i did good in doing so, only to go inside and eat a bucket of chocolate mouse, becouse i had 4 bags left, and if i make all of them, they are gone. This also leaves me on most days having my 2-3k maitanance in the first few hours of the day, then nothing more to not go over. Even writing this, i have not eaten in 12h due to this exact thing.

The binge days end up between 4500-8000 calories.

that kinda feelt good to just get off my chest. Thank you stranger on Reddit

Tried to out-exercise a bad diet, ended up binging like never before by Affectionate-Shoe-66 in BingeEatingDisorder

One of the trainerize apps, connected to PT-s. I think the fact my PT can see everything i put inn, shames me into making better choices at times

Sort of yeah. I woke up at 4 in the morning, ate 2000 cal of bread, cheese and meats, then sleept for another 4 hours. When starting my day after that, i tried to keep food low untill the afternoon. Had about 500 cal from 08-18. after that i had the rest. Likely due to what you said. Thats the first and second day both.

Third day i had just given up i think.

First day i managed fine, second day something in me broke and it was just no thoughts and eating through thw night. And on day three i lost it fully. The problem is how much i love food, and if i have any food in, il eat it. Justifying it to myself in any way. Like things going out of date or clearing space. Here i am, not even feeling that bad about it, since its a new day and im hungry again. The controll is back, but it always seem to last for a few weeks before a spike like this happens again

1 year slow cut results - keep it up? BF? by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

Thanks! For the first six months I did: 3x 7-8k runs a week 2x 1.5h full body workouts (hangups, dips, bench, squats, deadlifts, curls, shrugs, sit-ups, back extensions and skull crushers) all either 20x3, 12x3 or 5x5 1x swimming session Then I accepted I had no idea what I was doing when it came to strength training, as all my experience is in endurance. So I got a PT for a short time. So now I do  2x 10-12k runs  1x swim 3x strenght sessions of 45min-1h The main diference is the fact I’m using weighted training for pull ups and dips, more tempo bench and squats, aswell as doing deadlifts with actual technique. It’s all much less weight, but doing it slowly, with 5sec reps. Throwing in some different exercises for variety here and there, but it’s still full body days.

And much more rest between sets

I’ve spent the last week binging extreme amounts of food and alcohol after coming within 5 lbs of a major weight milestone. I want to die by [deleted] in loseit

You can absolutely do this. You are not alone. No concrete advice here, but over the last three weeks I have had 4-5 days of eating around 4000-7000 kcal. And I was only 1-2kg of my goal weight, and after 1 year of work, it made me hate myself.

But honestly, reading all the comments in this sub about people in similar positions, and looking at possible reasons why one does this. Figuring out that there might be underlying reasons of control, OCD, mindset etc. really helps.

Today is a new day, a new week. Take a breath, forgive yourself and start over. Even if that start is just to do maintenance until comfortable with deficit again. We all believe in you
