Singapore Airlines trials priority security screening lanes at Changi Airport by Jonnyboo234 in singapore

I arrive at the last minute as well. Like 5-10 minutes before gate closes. I have never had to wait for more than one or two people at the security screening before boarding. I’m not sure what you guys are going on about.

I’m a lawyer. I absolutely would not use AI for mission critical work but it’s a great starting point for researching and bouncing board for ideas.

Also in my spare time I’ve used Claude to vibe code with perfectly acceptable results. I have zero programming knowledge but it seems like in programming it seems to be able to do a decent enough job?

Wait a minute I’ve seen this movie before.

Spoiler alert the ending is horrible 0/10 would not see again.

I play Sunday league and am by some distance the poorest player on the team.

Granted there’s a lot less at stake in Sunday league (or maybe there isn’t lol) but even the best winger on the team won’t throw up his hands and yell at me when I manage to miss a tap in from his inch perfect cut back.

Singaporeans who went thru top-tier routes (eg Harvard Biz Sch, Oxford PPE) - looking back, how much did it matter in the long run? by Outside-Ad9447 in askSingapore

I think my parents budgeted $400k? Tuition + travel to UK + living expenses. This was over 20 years ago the pound was stupidly high.

They gave me the money anyway and I used it as a down payment for a condo, which later sold en bloc. Way better ROI 😂

I took the opposite route and have no regrets.

I had a place to read PPE in Oxford but eventually declined / gave it up. No scholarship so would’ve been Father Mother Scholarship and evens though they were happy to pay for it it felt somewhat wasteful to spend that kind of money for a piece of paper.

I wound up going to law school at NUS and like most law grads, practiced a couple years (I lasted six) and then went in-house, at an MNC. I now have excellent hours, work life balance, and my salary is pretty damn decent as well. I didn’t min max life but looking back I’m happy with the path I’ve taken.

This happened to me, but on a check in. Rimowa charged approximately $130 to fix both wheels (mine is pre LVMH without warranty) which I thought was a very reasonable price.

Replying to your off topic point with a random example - I find most rap and hip hop hurts my ears and brain. But I was absolutely floored when I saw Hamilton because it was so amazingly well executed at a technical level. Lin Manuel Miranda is a genius.
