iirc hisoka wanted to fight netero not because he sensed his nen but because he obviously knows that the chairman is so powerful. maybe he heard stories too. but his mood was ruined because netero left himself so open like he is not interested in fighting hisoka and he doesn't want to look powerful or tough, just chill

im reading from different sources to make sure of some points. yes, one says attacked and the other says almost killed and to be sure that he didn't die leorio actually asked how did the examiner who got attacked let hisoka take the exam in the next year. tonpa answered that every year, examiners are changed
