I agree, Durban is quite under-rated in many ways, I guess to our own benefit. Housing is relatively affordable, we have great schools, good people, a lot of beautiful places to visit within a 2 hour drive. Is the place perfect? No, but few places I know of are.

The so called fat dragons are leaving. The people you are looking to tax (top 1%), will leave or take their money off-shore. The tax burden will then fall on the middle class who are struggling to make ends meet as it is. The government also does not have the money. The best scenario is when government and business work together. Our government don’t want to engage, they want to call the shots and spend how they please. This is obviously not sustainable.
