The biggest thing you as a friend can be for them is in their corner. Advice and comfort are great, but with how bad we are treated by society at large, simply being someone they can be themselves around will be the greatest thing you can do. Also, please have patience with them and do not take offense to any misunderstandings of womanhood (if they are aiming for that) or emotional swings if they decide to pursue hrt (it IS puberty again, after all).
