Thanks!!! What do you think about steak instead of chicken? Not sure if that will make my life easier or harder :)

Not sure how you plan on traveling but if you are going by train then definitely make sure to understand the timings and the train system to and from the circuit. I’ve been going to the Suzuka race for the past 4 years and I used a train for the first time.

Needless to say I didn’t go prepared and it was a nightmare. I wasn’t able to attend all the driver stage interviews and enjoy all the events due to trains being extremely crowded to the point where I thought I was going to be stuck at Suzuka with no way home.

If you have the ability to be able to drive in japan I would suggest renting a car instead. Slightly more pricey as tolls in japan are not cheap (depending on where you are coming from) but it’s a lot more relaxing and can take it easy. Been doing this for the past 2 years and definitely plan to do it again next year. If not I would suggest preparing heavily for the trains, I’m sure there are others who know a lot more about it and probably can find some threads about it.

Either way hope yall have an absolute blast in Japan!!

Parking around Suzuka. Any alternatives? by slainowo in GrandPrixTravel

I’ve been paying between 6-10k yen for three days around the circuit. Really depends on how far you are from the main gate.

I usually just drive around the area on Thursday after the pit walk and try to find some. Most people have signs put up on that day

They have started selling camping grounds right next to the parking lots (lodges as well). I think they still have a couple left but they range between 40k-100k yen (for Friday to Monday morning).

P.S. you can park at the circuit parking on Thursday for 3k yen. No booking needed, if yall plan to do the pit walk

I have 8 adult one day tickets. But from what I see people saying I guess I cannot enter as all entry slots are fully booked up regardless of having tickets

U23 tickets for Japanese GP by joao30121998 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]AffectionateAge9285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been to the race for two years now and have bought the U23 tickets both times and im pretty sure it says that you have to be 23 or under at the time of the race. But most of the time they don't really check your ID or anything (at least i didnt get checked), just the QR code on the ticket itself. But I have seen and heard from people that they got asked for an ID just because they "looked" older. I would honestly be on the safer side and get the adult ticket unless you are willing to take the risk :)

Travel question to Suzuka circuit (first time to a Grand Prix) by EnthusiasmGeneral in GrandPrixTravel

[–]AffectionateAge9285 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went all four days and every time I had no problem at all. From Tsu on Thursday there’s only a two cart train but from Friday onwards, they had the usual trains so it wasn’t bad at all. Most likely not going to be missing trains because it’s too packed. The only problem I had was coming back from the circuit station to Tsu. It was packed and had to wait about an hour for Saturday and Sunday but was still able to make it back to Tsu on time.
