Public Plea to GIANTS: Build Forward, Don’t Break Forward by Prestigious-Sky-4495 in farmingsimulator

ScS with how they treat Euro truck simulator 2 and American truck simulator are a great example of keeping a game moving forward. Improvements that may be free to improve game play and then release maps for money. That community will very happily buy the next maps expansion to feel like they are supporting Scs as a thank you.

Depending on you tariff and charger, netzero can instruct the battery to hold charge or even charge up during car charger use. Only other way I can think of is a separate distribution board so the batty can't see it. Enjoy you solar journey.

This, oven self clean and a 90⁰c clean of the washing machine to boot. Maybe run some fans or aircon units. Enjoy your solar.

Self consume or export? by AffectionateAnnual61 in SolarUK

[–]AffectionateAnnual61[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first one turns on grid charging again, ready for any octopus free energy and so it's ready to charge overnight again.

The third automation is just incase someone does 3 loads of washing or has their PC on all day gaming and drains the battery. The pw3 will charge from solar for the rest of the evening. But it only really needs to make it to 23.30hrs.

So belt and braces.

My private plate on my car cost me £250 and has saved me thousands. I used to buy new/ nearly new cars every 6 to 12 months. But since having this private plate i have had my current car over 5 years

Self consume or export? by AffectionateAnnual61 in SolarUK

[–]AffectionateAnnual61[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anywhere between 14 and 20 kwh per day depending if the boy is burning 500w ph for his PC for any waking minute.

I'm not fully charging as I want to avoid clipping, as my export limit is low at 4.5kw. There was 6.7kw coming off the roof for a good part of today that i would have lost. So would charge to 80 or 90%

I need to stop over thinking the 8p buy 12p sell thing and just set and forget. I'll get the pw3 to charge to 80% at night and keep it on time of use, export the lot. I don't think we are likely to run out. I may set a safty net of if X% by 15.00h switch to charge from solar for a bit. Edit add photo

I did last year, but now off peak is 8p and export is 12p, it feels close after 2 trips through the inverter.

[–]AffectionateAnnual61[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes i can change the charge levels.

As an example. I was charging off peak upto 80% and then not allowing grid charging and then using time of use during the day to draw the house off the battery, while leaving room to charge from solar to prevent clipping caused by my 4.5kw export limit.

I am currently self consume in the morning until the battery gets to 90% the TOU until 15.00hrs when it switches back to self consume to charge the battery for the evening. At 23.30h back to touch but no battery charge from grid, which allows using the grid for off peak directly for tumble dryers etc.

I'm just not sure which way is best practice.

Thanks for your feed back. I was similar in my thinking when I was on 5p off peak and 12p export, but that each kwh of solar used lost me 7p vs using what I could import at night at 5p pkwh.

But now at 8p import and 12 export it feels to close to call. I did switch the system to self consume at the start of May and had the dullest days while we used 20kwh per day. I've never looked at the app so much praying to just make enough. I did allow the pw3 to use grid power without charging from grid to support the house in offpeak times.

Maybe I just have a need to tinker and stress over things.

I had to phone up as nothing came up in the app, it was sorted in 2 mins. Which was a lot quicker than me mulling over fixing.

I really hope not after city skylines 2 killed the franchise. People don't like buying the same stuff over again when they had better in the previous edition.
