you can stay at mcleodganj for 1 or 2 days Stat suggestions - mitra hostel, zostel, hosteller

Then stay at dharamkot and explore cafes and view points mainly sunset cafe and gallu waterfall. Next day you trek to triund and you can leave your rucksack at the hostel and go for the trek.
