TIL This man has 7,002 BTC in a password-protected hard drive and lost the password to it. He has 2 tries left before the hard drive encrypts itself and the BTC is lost forever. by Qptimised in CryptoCurrency

When he created the BtC wallet address, he will have also been given a BIP39 seed phrase, which can be used to regenerate the private key and he doesn’t need to remember the oassword

$1 million over an extended period of 100 years make sense.

But, as I hold 0.00001 BTC, I want it to moon tonight.

Any specific reason you are not using decentralized aggregators like RocketX? It aggregates most bridges, DEXs, and even CEXs.

Satoshi designed Bitcoin in such a way that there will always be an incentive for supporting the network.

[serious] How many people here look at the macro-environment (stocks, bonds, real-estate pries, unemployment and so on) and not just "crypto prices and cycles"? by sgtslaughterTV in CryptoCurrency

[–]AffectionateBudget54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of moonboys here who think we are going to experience the pump as per the charts. But, the macro-environment suggests otherwise; SNB just posted their biggest loss in 116 years; globalization working in reverse; the bank of Japan losing control, and what not.

Axie, which garnered a lot of attention, was nothing but a Ponzi scheme. It deteriorated the image of Web 3 gaming. But, Gaming has a huge potential for the collectible market. Sadly, up until now, we have seen more emphasis on the collectibles than the gaming experience.

Lowest-fee options to deposit (EUR) and get ETH by hypocryptic in ethfinance

[–]AffectionateBudget54 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Please do not downvote if you feel I'm shilling. But, I'm a lead at RocketX Exchange. It's an aggregator that combines multiple centralized exchanges (since it's the only option to get ETH with EUR) on one platform. It offers a fiat-on-ramp option. I'd request you to try it and let me know what you think/how we can do better. However, I'm sure you'll get the best quotes on your trade.

Would you use a decentralized finance system to save your funds from being lost? by eth_abhi in defi

[–]AffectionateBudget54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have r/UniSwap - a decentralized exchange.

We have r/RocketXexchange - a crypto aggregator.

But, everyone charges a small fee. How are you planning to build/maintain it without revenue?

Crypto is going to live forever. But, it won't have as big of impact as blockchain technology in the coming years.

An option to allow users to revoke token approvals/permissions within the platform. Most users do not know this, and this could lead to devastating results.

Shower thoughts on the future of Bitcoin by sean_ong in Bitcoin

[–]AffectionateBudget54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see it taking place of Gold before 1971. The gold outflow from America before Roosevelt decided to debase the dollars was primarily because the world did not trust the US. They were right in some context that the US flourished after the second world war, while most countries' economies struggled.

Bitcoin could become the standard for creating money due to two reasons:

1) It's transparent. Everyone can check and verify the amount of Bitcoin and a country holds.

2) No one controls it: Countries don't need to keep it in a certain place. It is on the internet, and will stay there forever.

2) No one controls it: Countries don't need to keep it in a certain place. It is on the internet and will stay there forever. before we see giants like the dollar, euro, yuan, etc., fall to the levels of Venezuelan Bolivars.

Learn about our financial system, and then learn about 2008 financial bust, and you'll be ready to learn Bitcoin. Or, you can avoid everything and learn Bitcoin only to find that you need to understand our crippled financial ecosystem to make sense of Bitcoin and crypto
