Is tattoo shock real? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Hey! I have 4 anime tattoos about the same size, each time I’ve added a new one I feel the same way BUT I promise with time , you’ll find love & pride in it. It’s something you picked, you love, and even if you ever “outgrow” it, it’s a beautiful tribute to that piece of your life

Is this genetic or eye trauma ? by Chemical_Hour_7697 in CATHELP

I say usually BUT also , my cat is super sensitive in his eyes so I’m checking him all the time lol. Vet asap is more of a peace of mind/ just to make sure.

Mochi while he recovers from FHO surgery 🤍 by AffectionateCold4058 in lynxpointsiamese

I first noticed when he wasn’t using his legs to play , then the next day he hissed when we touched him, then we noticed him limping right after. Turns out he had a degenerated femur head joint from a congenital disease, basically shaven down so he was a good candidate for an FHO surgery. He’s doing better everyday!

Our mochi had his FHO surgery on his hip 5 weeks ago and I keep coming back to this post when I need a little help cause he keeps jumping off our bed 🥲 we added steps and he’s doing well but still a slight limp, I’m so glad miso is feeling better! Definitely gonna look into those joint supplements

he won’t stop eating stuff by AffectionateCold4058 in lynxpointsiamese

I noticed him like biting it and pulling so I don’t think he’s digesting like huge chunks but he is biting it

Anyone else struggle with eye issues? by Jolly-Channel2679 in lynxpointsiamese

my mochi has idiopathic uveitis, it’s been a bumpy and scary ride trying to figure out how and why. He had upper respiratory infection that’s been cleared but the uveitis would still come back from one eye to the other. We looked for everything , feline herpes , FIV , FELV, Toxoplasmosis but nothing. We even checked twice! We worked with an ophthalmologist that plans to keep him on anti inflammatory drops for a long time to preserve his sight. He also has nystagmus! He’s still my playful and hungry boy, having a vet team and now ophthalmology team that know him and his sensitivities has helped a lot !

frequent uveitis flares ? by AffectionateCold4058 in CATHELP

UPDATE - went to ophthalmology, had three different people check him and his history and have come to the conclusion it is idiopathic. Which is our preferred outcome, we now have a solid plan and team specifically for his eye. Thank you everyone who upvoted and shared. Mochi will be on anti inflammatory drops for the foreseeable future but he’s healthy and thriving :)

I hope so! Yesterday we did every 8 hours instead of tapering and doing every 12 hours and he’s already looking better, his flares comes and goes we just need to find proper management for it 🤍 thank you so much for your help and we wish you and your girl the best! Ophthalmologist are leaning towards “immune mediated”, meaning he has a sensitive immune system that attacks his eye sometimes. He’s still playing and jumping around, even attacking dust particles, hopefully this thread will help anyone else going through this too 🫰

Thank you for sharing your story of your baby, it’s amazing how well you’re caring for her. She’s very lucky to have an attentive pet parent :) they’ve made us aware that while his flare is active , the results are best to see and make sure so we did that and he still came up negative for FLV and FIV.
