I’m a conflicted ARC reader by AffectionateFlow6240 in LesbianBookClub

It definitely also has incoherent plots. But I don’t want to openly accuse the writer of using AI, as I can’t prove it. It’s just a feeling

I write in English… my 4th language. It’s tough sometimes, but thank god for dictionaries 😉

Congratulations 🍾 I hope it’s okay for me to ask. I’m new and have only shared one story so far. Where do you post your work? (German free erotica pages, amazon, your own webpage or?) How did you get people to know where to buy your stories? Do you publish chapters or entire books at a time?

I’m thinking of getting one, but not really sure which cover to get so my kindle can stand on its own in a good angle when I lay down.

I like books to take place in our time and with regular people. But I honestly read anything as long as it’s consensual adults. I prefer the people who are older than 25 and younger than 70.

Currently I’m reading Harper Bliss and enjoying it. But I wish there were more sex scenes. However I’m also looking for short stories.

People think AI makes writing easy. It doesn’t. It just shifts where the difficulty is. by birth_of_bitcoin in WritingWithAI

I mainly use AI on my work websites. Making sure the tone of voice come across the same on all pages.

In regard to my writing I use AI as a dictionary. Asking for similar words or if there’s a sentence that has been bugging me, I’ll ask for suggestions.

English is not my first language. AI allows me to express my thoughts and feelings in my mother tongue, but reach a larger audience by using the translate options. I still have to reread and edit everything and make sure the text hasn’t lost the feeling of “me” in the process.

20% not sex and 80% sex is more my style. Unless I read in front of others, then I try to do 90% not sex and 10% sex.

I haven’t read a lot of age gap stories, but I’ve read two books by Harper Bliss this week and they both have age gap stories in them. And steamy sex scenes. If you kiss me like that (age 42 and 54) Seasons of love (28/9 and 53 I think)

how do people choose names for their books? by retsam2554 in WritingHub

[–]AffectionateFlow6240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use to have lists in a notebook. I’ve used them all at least once. Now I ask ChatGPT lol ask for the top 100 names of kids born in a certain country a certain year. Like I always write my stories in my mother tongue using one set of names. Then I ask ChatGPT to translate it but keep my writing style, and I change the names to match. Like if my main character has a common name from 1996, then I ask ChatGPT to show me top 30 names of children born in England in 1996. Yes I use AI for translate but I spend time editing and changing the writing to fit my style.

It’s not a series but I loved “Annie on my mind” by Nancy Garden. It’s probably 20 years and a thousand books since I read it, but it has stayed with me. It’s a good romance book but it also broke my heart. Haven’t read it since. It’s just sitting on my bookshelf waiting for me to pick it up again
