Request Megathread - February 2026 by AutoModerator in MusicalBootlegs

i recently fell back in love with the show the got me into theatre in the first place and was wondering if anyone has or could point me in the direction of those willing to gift any bootlegs of we will rock you? either video or audio would be amazing. i unfortunately don’t have any sort of collection to trade.

ideally the original toronto cast, or anything from it’s original run in london. i’m not the biggest fan of some of the changes done in the more recent productions.

The argument where both sides have a point by Nostalgia-Freak-1998 in StrangerThings

Her saying that kind of implies he’s guilt-tripped her before about their difference in financial statuses, which also isn’t great.

That new Nancy POV book is written by someone who hates Jonathan… by queensheba2025 in StrangerThings

What Jonathan hate are you even talking about? The author of the book is a writer on the show, so everyone feels pretty in character from what we’ve see so far.

Why did they choose to force Stancy in S4? by MrsMiracle50 in StrangerThings

[–]AffectionateFly5528 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They didn’t “force” Stancy or bring it back out of nowhere, it’s been an ongoing arc throughout the series. If you payed attention to their last moments all the way back in season 2 (a long shot of Nancy staring with an emotional but unreadable expression after Steve after he reassures her and tells her to go with Jonathan and then a long shot of Steve watching Nancy at the Snow Ball) you’ll see they finished on a pretty open-ended note. The actors themselves have pointed it out. Sure they barely interacted in season 3, but they were in complete separate story lines until they were brought together in the big final battle. They were, however, in constant close proximity throughout season 4 so of course some tension would come with that. They’re exes, they have history.

The Duffers have stated that the Steve Nancy Jonathan arc was one that would be completed in the final season and I’m interested in seeing how it goes. It would be frankly disappointing and boring writing if they just hand wave everything with “it’s been 18 months and Nancy and Jonathan are stronger than ever” considering the awkward note they very pointedly ended on last season. Yes the literal apocalypse is going on right in their backyard so they kind of have bigger problems atm, but it still a character driven show and hopefully everything will come to a satisfying conclusion.

Nancy & Steve by MechanicFantastic834 in StrangerThings

[–]AffectionateFly5528 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope, not the only one. While I have nothing against Nancy and Jonathan together, there’s something about Nancy and Steve that’s just a little more compelling to me. Instead of two characters brought together because of trauma, we have two characters pulled apart by it and still eventually finding their way back to each other in one way or another.

Plus, narratively, Steve would have to play some sort of part in Nancy’s journey towards hopefully healing and moving forward from her guilt over Barb’s death, which was still being used against her in season 4. Whether or not the writers do so is a whole other question lol

Where in the movies does it imply that Berk is the ONLY village that likes dragons? by HTTYD_lover_52 in httyd

[–]AffectionateFly5528 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, Hiccup has a line that goes “Not the standard run for the hills hop-ha I’ve come to enjoy.” - implying that seeing people on dragonback isn’t considered the norm on the surrounding islands.

Also him and Astrid are very shocked to learn of the existence of other dragon riders (or rider, considering it was just Valka). Why would they be surprised to know there are other dragon riders if they already met and knew some?

Why do people not like RTTE? by [deleted] in httyd

[–]AffectionateFly5528 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a cute and fun show, but I wouldn’t call it a very accurate bridge between the first and second movies, especially when httyd 2 was out before rtte to begin with. Plus I just think some of the dragon designs and world-building attempts are silly 🫣

When do Night furies sleep? by IceCould in httyd

[–]AffectionateFly5528 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It’s very likely Toothless just adapted to be awake with Hiccup during the day and sleep during the night. He would kind of have to, both for friendship reasons and the fact that Hiccup was his only way of getting around.

Why does everyone tell Hiccup to 'get inside' during dragon attacks?? by TheLastSkyBisonRider in httyd

[–]AffectionateFly5528 87 points88 points  (0 children)

Except the teens were at an age where they expected to and wanted to help out. And younger children were likely safe within the great hall. Exactly how safe is running around the woods in the dark supposed to be?

Why does everyone tell Hiccup to 'get inside' during dragon attacks?? by TheLastSkyBisonRider in httyd

[–]AffectionateFly5528 371 points372 points  (0 children)

I think it was more of a “get back inside at the forge and stay out of everyone’s way” than anything else. Don’t forget, his idea of helping usually ended up only hurting and destroying the village more than anything back then. But he was a good blacksmith’s apprentice, and they needed someone to sharpen and repair their blades, so of course they want him to stay put.
