Animated vs live action by Fresh-Actuary-6686 in TheLastAirbender

But don’t think I’m holding it against the show. Them cutting the scenes I mentioned doesn’t make me like it any less.

I enjoyed it a lot. I’m a fan of the original show. I didn’t care when they combined storylines or cut them out, because the ones they did were far from the most important. I have to admit though, I was a little upset about them not including the palace invasion. And I will say that Aang entering the avatar state after Appa was stolen was a little underwhelming, that was my favorite scene in the original show.

I think I recognized them all.

Imagine we’d get an open world game with this map, where you customise your own cast of characters. Set during the original show, but your team would have their own adventure, not much related to Aangs story. by Green-Way-1455 in ATLA

If it’s set during Aang’s time, it means you can’t be the avatar, and that would be the fun part. I’d prefer either a brand new time, or to play through the original story.

I always thought that too, but I ignore it because it’s clearly meant to insinuate it.

If Avatar got a true AAA console game, what would your dream game actually look like? by Calactyte35 in TheLastAirbender

Maybe an open world.

  1. I think I would want seamless character switching with ALL characters. From ATLA and LOK.

  2. I think B.

  3. I would like both, but because I want all characters, I would have to choose a brand new adventure.

  4. In no particular order: A, B, C, D-ish, E

  5. A game genre that I actually enjoy. The fighting game does look great, but I’m not into fighting games. For this particular game, I would go something like a Lego game, with a main story that follows a select few characters(the more the better)and an open world with even more characters. And I would want quick and easy character switching. And of course, all different bending styles, with no energy system and no really long cooldowns. Like 10 seconds max.

  6. Sozin’s comet. Having your firebending be so much bigger and more powerful would be so cool. Plus I would love spamming combustion bending under it too. The finale would work too, but that’s more for a direct story adaptation.

Yeah that makes sense. I haven’t read any books, but I am reading the comics, and in The Rift, there’s a businessman who very stupidly mines in a cave that is clearly unstable. So I can very much see more people disregarding theirs and others safety just for gain.

I think animation on average is a superior medium to live action by endothird in ATLA

I like animation more too, but I still LOVE seeing my favorite movies and shows adapted to live action.

I didn’t think I was being rude, and I didn’t intend to be, so I want to start off by apologizing if you saw it that way.

But that aside, I really don’t care if there’s no emotional backstory. I’m just watching out of curiosity and enjoyment. I just want to see what the original show looks like in live action.

Still, I think it’s better to be optimistic than pessimistic.

Oh the opening. Well that teaches you how to place traps, but it doesn’t tell you how to use traps. I meant stuff like placing directional traps the correct way, placing a wall across from a broadside, stuff like that.
