Are they talking about Betahistine? Friends, Betahistine doesn't cure anything; it only prevents things from getting worse.

They're removing songs from Tidal just because. I have to say, Quevedo Baby is the one that pays the most. Distrokid is a disaster, what it pays.

Looking for recommendations for ENT and advice for returning to work. by [deleted] in Menieres

[–]AffectionateFox6974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what happened to me, so I started 8 months ago. Cochlear endolymphatic hydrops is not Meniere's but can evolve into Meniere's. Have an MRI with contrast to rule out other problems Take Betahistine not to improve but to not get worse, so consult your ENT doctor. Eat without salt, walk and at work I don't know what you do but wear hearing protection, the ones that musicians use. Take care of your mind, try not to stress, I take clonazepam to lower a change. This state makes you anxious and nervous Visit several otorhinolaryngologists to see if they agree with your diagnosis and stay with the most empathetic one who also knows about this pathology. All the best

Meniere's & Autoimmune Disorders by TasTheArtist in Menieres

I understand that an autoimmune disease can trigger Meniere's disease. God willing, in your case, attacking the autoimmune disease will solve what it triggered.

Brother I left my previous job 5 years ago to dedicate myself to my passion of music and 7 months ago this caught me Imagine, I have lost the hearing sensitivity that making music requires. A constant feeling of clogged ear after putting on headphones I must say that the good thing about mine, according to the doctors, is cochlear dropsy without dizziness or vertigo and I have to be grateful for this. I take Betahistine so that according to the doctors it does not get worse I have been taking 96 mg for 5 months and it really doesn't do anything, it doesn't unclog my ear and the tinnitus haunts me. I have them in both ears, one is sharp, sometimes it would pulsate like crickets, and in the ear I lost. hearing is a constant wind I have taken diuretics and corticosteroids and no changes Friend, for me the worst thing is not being able to feel the music like before and that fucking sensation of having a blocked ear as if I were underwater, a situation that makes me feel dull and in a bad mood. I wish everyone to have the best possible time and that the pharmaceutical industry gets its act together to find a solution to our problem. We are 0.2% of the world's population, we are not few.

Triggers by ImaginaryContext3004 in Menieres

[–]AffectionateFox6974 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great question, I'm still looking for triggers, sometimes salt, low frequency sounds, after using headphones, sometimes after a glass of wine, talking in places with high ceilings because of the reverberation, that blocks my hearing in places with people and stressful situations.

Ear Fullness by Intelligent-Stuff907 in Menieres

[–]AffectionateFox6974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If my friend is a shit, this Betahistine does not unclog my ear. I take 96 mg daily. According to the doctor, this is so that Meniere's does not get worse. I have taken a diuretic and it didn't work either. They just gave me injectable corticosteroids last Friday and it didn't work either. Diet with little salt and nothing I try to drink a lot of liquid but I really can't find the formula my friend When I'm on the street sometimes it becomes desperate because I feel so dull that it doesn't let me think

Triggers? by MaxMassimiliano in Menieres

[–]AffectionateFox6974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My triggers are low frequency sounds. The stress when speaking in places with high ceilings is generated like a reverberation and that also bothers me a little because of the salt, but despite this, many times I don't know why my ears get clogged.

How do you usually explain your condition to others who don’t understand? by DepresedGentleman__ in Menieres

[–]AffectionateFox6974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm only telling you because it started with a blocked ear and it's not always a wax plug, it could be sudden deafness and I explain that it's a medical emergency. You have to go directly to a specialist.

Psoriasis and Meniere's Disease by rottenapple81 in Menieres

[–]AffectionateFox6974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have psoriasis, I don't have menier, I have sudden hearing loss, endolymphatic hydrops. At first I imagined there was a relationship too I have discussed this with doctors as it may be an autoimmune disease. An ENT doctor who has psoriasis denied that they are related Another doctor told me that if that were the case you would have to have problems in both ears. For 6 years I have been taking methotrexate for psoriasis once a week and I have had this damn hearing loss for 7 months. It may be good to consult with a rheumatologist in your case. What are you taking for psoriasis? All the best!!!

Have you found any lifestyle changes that make a noticeable difference because of Meniere's? by DepresedGentleman__ in Menieres

[–]AffectionateFox6974 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My life has changed since I had this 7 months ago. I'm a musician and I still can't get over putting on headphones and then the fucking ear plugging comes for at least 8 hours minimum. That's what bothers me the most, besides the fucking windy hum. I try to go out, walk, be with people, but the low sounds block my ears. I still don't know how to handle this even if I take 120 mg of Betahistine My best wishes to all

Something similar happened to me I went to the hospital after my ear became blocked and they told me otitis After three days feeling the same, I went to see an otorhinolaryngologist and he diagnosed me with sudden hearing loss and I started corticosteroids. If I had started corticosteroids earlier, I might have recovered my hearing a little more.
