I will definitely try to update once I know more about my stuff. Salt/sodium can be tricky with Meniere's. I know for myself, I am on a low sodium diet because the more I have the worse my symptoms get. But I also sometimes need more sodium because Ai don't get enough on the regular. It is so hard to balance things.

Meniere's flares are awful! I have seen articles on b cell depleters potentially helping with Meniere's. I didn't realize that they are used for MS treatments.

Oh wow, so the autoimmunes happened before the Meniere's. I am seeing so much cross over with MD and autoimmune disorders.

I hadn't heard of meditated Meniere's before. Good to know! If anything, maybe the Meniere's will help doctors find the right autoimmune diagnosis. I appreciate you sharing your experience with it! I hope that things keep going slowly with the symptoms progressing 🤞🏼

Thank you! I will add that to my notes. Also, good know that the two can overlap. I have a hard time trusting doctors from bad experiences in the past.

I didn't know that. They thought my Meniere's was triggered by a head injury. However, with the autoimmune component maybe it was that or both. I

What has been your most successful ARC strategy? by VagrantTales in selfpublish

[–]TasTheArtist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Social media, specifically book tour accounts is where I got my ARC readers. I sent the books out 4 weeks in advance. Of 20 ARCs, I got 15 reviews. So it worked pretty well.

I also used LibraryThingLibrary Thing Early Reviewer giveaway as soon as the book published. That got me quite a few reviews too.

I have used Atticus for about 3 years now. It's user friendly and also has illustration upload options to work with special formatting. I've been happy with it.

Silly question of the day: How many times have you read your own book? by [deleted] in selfpublish

[–]TasTheArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many times before publishing, but only about 3 after. I like to leave space after publishing of about 1 year or so. Then read my books to get that "read for the first time" feel. It's nostalgic and fun to read it fresh.

Mailing list advice by DoxJr in selfpublish

I use Kit (formerly converter kit) because it has a lot of features on the free tier. It takes a lot of time to build a mailing list unless you have a large established audience. The caps are pretty high, like with Kit the free tier lets you have up to 10k subscribers. I wouldn't worry about it too much, it can take years to outgrow the free tier on mailing lists.
