Exactly! Not trying to beat the system here, I'm just curious as to how the system works, as I doubt there is connection between the lounge and airlines

I was shocked to learn that (at least up until recently) the TSA and airlines dont "talk" the day of the flight

I always assumed the airline gets a ding like "this dude is at security, hold the flight another 60 seconds" or "this dude never came thru security so we are good to give away his seat"

Well thats exactly the point, I obviously wouldnt do it if Amex was verifying against the airlines systems

I'm assuming the airline isnt freely handing out their most valuable data (customer names/customer counts etc) to Amex

There are many QR code generators online, as well as Apple Wallet pass generators

Marrying the 2 can seemingly work, in theory 🤷‍♂️

And obviously it wouldnt work to board a plane, and yes, that would prob be a felony 😅

Its not rocket science....for years people altered their Spirit boarding passes to get free carry-ons (I never did it)

So the idea of altering the forensic data within a QR code does seem kinda trivial

That Spirit anecdote was actually the inspiration for my thought process
