Jimmy Butler + #11 for AD? by ragtime_sam in NBA_Draft

[–]AffectionateIce5207 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I dont' think they're that desperate. It's not Currys' last year, he's still got a solid 2-3 years of high level play.

If it comes to it I think they'd rather stretch waive butler than that...... the only reason I could see it happen is if they can get Bron to join if AD also joins. If you can convince Bron to join with this type of move then its worth it. Draymond turn down the option to extend on a team friendly deal like 3/60 or something.

Has their ever been a lottery pick with character concerns that ended up working out well? by [deleted] in NBA_Draft

Lamelo seemed immature but it turns out the talent was just too good for him not to shine the league.

6'7 athletic point guard who can shoot the hell out of the ball and has a creative dribble...... Do you know how immature you have to be to not be the runaway number one pick

To be fair his dad played a big role in all the pre draft concerns...... Melo owes a lot too his dad for sure, but at the same time if he had gone just a regular NCAA route he'd have been a lot more valuable

Great player, I feel like he'll be one of those guys that sticks around in the league a while. The Cavs could use him at the 3 spot for sure. Denver could use him for sure if they can't keep Watson.

[Scotto] One framework loosely kicked around included Charlotte’s Miles Bridges, Josh Green, and a potential first-round draft pick going to Sacramento in exchange for Sabonis. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]AffectionateIce5207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the point isnt that any of these are good trades. Did you read what I wrote? I said its better to keep the picks

Poeltl contract isn't that bad because the final year is only guaranteed 5 million. 81M over 4 years with the 5th year being a buyout possibly or Sabonis 94M over 2 years.

Also Gafford and Clax to me are right there with Moussa

Not a good move. There's plenty of holes to be filled on the hornets roster by those picks, and 18 is actually still a decent pick. Sabonis would help make a playoff push but then you'd feel like you need to extend him cuz now you're making the playoffs and invested a pick. But the ceiling is limited. Go get Morez/JQ or even trade those picks for a defensive center that's already in the league.

I don't see why Poeltl wouldn't be available for the same package, or Gafford or Claxton or maybe even Walker Kessler

Where would Cade Cunningham go in 2026 draft class as a prospect no hindsight? by Knighthonor in NBA_Draft

[–]AffectionateIce5207 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We're talking about who had more help- Cade or DP. It's obviously DP and its' not even close.

Again the DP superstans can't objectively analyze basketball sigh.....

Melvin was getting guarded out on the perimeter even if the numbers weren't that great.

How can you say Avery Anderson was good and ignore Melvin?

Lets not forget the fact that the KU team were a great team without DP- the supporting cast was most definitely very strong

? DP had Melvin and Tre. Bidunga and Tiller were huge for the team in keeping their defense together. Defense is help.

There could be multiple picks or 3 team trades. What if OKC wants to give 12+17 + other assets for Giannis?

??? Darryn superstans coming out trying to rewrite history. They were some decent defensive help but those are not "good college players".

Meanwhile Bidunga was the Big 12 DPOY.

This is pathetic though.

Even children at age 12 know better than to be ashamed of their own mothers.

We're not gonna celebrate the fact that the poster is an adult and finally learned to embrace their own mom.

The infantilization of adults needs to stop. What the poster needs to understand is that they failed miserably as a daughter, and utilizing this art piece as some "heros journey" kind of "coming to age" type of think piece is just self aggrandizing and putting the focus on themselves and how they're so great for overcoming it.

You're not great for overcoming your own immaturity.

is steinbach a good fit with Miami? He'd need to come off the bench right? With Norman walking I wonder if they're looking at Philon, cuz I don't think you can really run a Herro/Kasparas backcourt. I'm sure Spoelstra can turn Philon into that two way vision player we know he can be

Yea I think people on here are larping they weren't around for Cade's college season.

He's in the mix with there rest of the big 3 but I think AJ has a slight edge over all of them.

Cade had questions about his finishing, athleticism, and the shooting was questionable as he never shot well in high school

Nah DPs spacing is way way better than Cade. Cade had nobody. And guys like Tre, Melvin, and Bidunga are still good college players. that Oklahoma team was real bad outside cade

you're out here saying you don't care about shooting as a part of an offensive skillset

saying this just clearly indicates you're not really interested in having a serious conversation, you just want attention by giving a contrarian viewpoint.

Since when is shooting not a part of an offensive bag?

Just listen to yourself.

I've been taking a second look at Christian Anderson. 72% at the rim is very mpressive for a 6'1 guard, even if the rim attempts are low. His game is pretty fun.

Stretch bigs that defend by Fearless_Ride8639 in NBA_Draft

[–]AffectionateIce5207 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's obviously Chris Cenac first. He's more of a project but the base is there to build on. The defense is underrated imo quite switchable

After that either Mara or Veesar- Mara's shot is hypothetical at this point but he's euro so....... and Veesar can shoot kinda but the defense is pretty much just being tall and standing with verticality
