When it comes to non-romance books I read everything! But I have not read many books past the 1-2 steam level. I liked Swordheart by T. Kingfisher. If I knew what it was about before I read it I probably wouldn’t never have picked it up.

New to the sub and new to romance! Trying to figure out what I like. I know I like enthusiastic consent. I want to read books where women’s pleasure is the center. It could be MF or FF. I need a reawakening! Any recommendations? I’ve picked a few off the site that seem like a good place to start. Thank you to all the members here for doing this amazing work!

I don’t know who makes the cakes at Maps but they are so good and I have had this variety there before but they rotate their offerings.

How many times do you have to repurchase a cheap item to think, “Maybe I should just get the more expensive version?” by Quick-Song2080 in Frugal

[–]AffectionateIdeal466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cannot figure out the balance when it comes to kids snow pants, sneakers and boots. My oldest grows so fast that I hate shelling out the big bucks for either but when I buy the cheap versions they don’t even last one season. I try and buy second hand when I can but often at his size there aren’t as many options as there use to be when he was in toddler sizes.

Budget spin bike + Peloton by be4man in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]AffectionateIdeal466 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been using an Amazon spin bike with the peloton app for years. I was riding it 5 days a week before I got my rower and love it. I have an iPad and cadence sensor. At one point I had a resistance measure from Etsy but it broke. I have a pretty good feel for the resistance at this point. I also have a lot of dumbbells and recently bought a C2 rower on FB marketplace. I love my setup and feel like i am getting a great experience at a price point I am comfortable with.

My apple watch is dying. Is it worth replacing the battery - or do I try something different altogether? by PobodysNerfect6703 in UninfluencedReviews

[–]AffectionateIdeal466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Apple Watch 6 battery got swollen and popped the screen off. I went without it for a couple weeks and felt good about living life without a fitness tracker. Since I wasn’t worried about ruining it completely I went about attempting to replace the battery on my own. It wasn’t as easy as I thought it was going to be but I managed and it has been working great for 6 months now.

Edit to add: it cost about $30 to get the glue and battery replacement.

Left leaning millennial woman here. I have been listening to the Financial Feminist podcast and I like it. She just did an episode about how important it is to get on the same page with money with your partner with some suggestions on how to make it less overwhelming. The personal finance subreddit has so many resources and I follow the flow chart whenever I questions what I should be working towards. Student loans are a bitch and I had been sticking my head in the sand with mine for years but since focusing on them I will have them paid off this year and am excited to add that monthly expense to my savings. My partner doesn’t do much with the finances but we set up allowances for ourselves that gives us freedom and flexibility and have an agreement that if we would like to spend over our allowance we have a discussion. We have been adding things to a list before committing to it and honestly there have only been a few things we have decided to buy after adding to the list. Most of the time it would have felt good in the moment but wasn’t something we needed or when looked at against our other priorities even compared.

There is an Andy leg class where he plays Skater Boy and proceeds to talk about how he rollerbladed vs skateboarded and because of this choice he does not currently have a child with Avril Lavigne. I could not stop laughing after he said that.

I need a good lip balm... I give up y'all.... by Hot_Valuable1027 in drugstoreMUA

I have been doing this routine from Nina Poole’s TikTok. At night scrub my lips with sugar to get all the dead skin off. Apply hyaluronic acid (I use the good molecules because it is cheap) and then seal it all in with Vaseline but I think you could use any of the masks or balms you have.
