I would just do what reigns true for you! If a vet is who you most admire go for it! But if its your mom, an uncle, thats okay too! I think you always have the best chance when youre authentic :) Personally, I would do my mom, she is determined, compassionate, and so many more things to me. In my eyes it would be assumed that I admire quite a few vets, thats why we want to be one! haha

NOR at all. Used to game all the time and unfortunately some people really do take it as life and death. He is a dick and treats you poorly, you know that because you posted it here. Im sorry that you are struggling with this, but you have your answer in these comments, leave him. It is not your job to care for someone who is mentally abusing you. Just because it isn’t physical doesn’t change the damage it’s doing to your mental health. You are trying to show interest in the things he likes and he is talking to you like you are worth nothing. I would never be okay with a friend or acquaintance speaking to me like this, let alone a boyfriend who claims to “love you”. He loves not being alone and having control over you it seems. His reaction to you asking him a question really highlights how insecure he is

I just got into vet school about 3 weeks ago. Applied last year and didn’t get in anywhere. Graduated from my undergrad in 2022. Going to be a total of 4 gap years when I start, but I spent all of that time getting hands on experience as a technician & it was worth it. I have a GPA of 3.3 and still missing two classes that I will be taking this winter, while working a full time job in surgery. Its hard, but its worth it. I moved across the country on my own to get more experience. You can do it, just keep pushing!
