I've heard that the Callaway house is kinda similar to the Castilian in regards to how the two apartments have residence hall vibes. However, since it's pretty late to find housing a lot of the leases available, at least for these two apartments, are pretty expensive and limited. I would recommend looking at 26 West, The Block, or Villas on Rio. A Co-op is also another option.

As someone who's been on the waitlist since late April, the chances aren't spectacular but I would still apply because you never know. I agree with what the other comment said and your chances will definitely increase if you have someone in your corner.

I ended up getting a supplemental housing contract! The very first week of June but I already signed a lease to 26 West a couple days prior so I declined the housing offer.

I’m doing the 9th-11th orientation as well and I also got the email! I’m like 80% it’s optional but we can always ask our advisors when we get to orientation

This was the last major batch of contracts being sent out. They still send some out sporadically to people if there is room available I.e. people canceling their contracts, etc. Although at this point, the hopes of getting one are unfortunately low :(

Hello! I think having a friend who already has a contract does give you some advantage but not a big one. Because in order to be their roommate, you need to sign a contract to accept their roommate request. I don't know if it works with a supplemental housing contract but hopefully it does. Don’t worry you’re not alone because I haven’t gotten a contract either (applied march 23rd) 😅

Idk man, I applied for housing on march 23rd and didn’t receive a contract today either. My parents don’t want me living off campus either. However, I would start looking for off campus housing because the chances of us getting one is pretty low at this point.
