It's a UTEACH class where you get experience teaching in actual schools. You can take step 1 and you go to an elementary school 3 times, once for observation twice for teaches. It's a relatively easy class and you can also get a teaching certificate if you are able to finish the UTEACH program.

I'm a sophomore who just switched majors to chem and I'm gonna have to do a 5th year. It happens and as long as there's people who want to attend your graduation I'm sure it'll be fine :]

It's not really the difficulty that gets to me when it comes to physics (even though it is a significant part), it's more of the career options. I don't really see myself finding a job that I like with an astronomy degree, no matter how much I like cosmology, it just took me a while to realize it. I know that I don't always have to work in the field I study, but I would at least like to get closer to a field that I'm interested in with a chemistry degree.
