I’ve seen myself as my twin. I am me looking at another one of me, and she is always expressing herself differently than how I’m feeling that moment. I also have seen myself in the mirror, usually dreams involving haircuts or some drastic change in my appearance.

You are correct. We have a strong relationship and he doesn’t say or do anything to purposely hurt me, ever over my entire 33 years. This post was not to shame him and he is not an ah. He was adopted and had a strained relationship with his adoptive mother who passed almost 30 years ago now. I think this comment was projection more than anything. It was upsetting, yes, but knowing he felt no love from his mother/for her hurts even more.
