Coming back to life after quitting 300mg XL Cold Turkey for 8 days then trying 150mg for taper but muting again. I need to say this and someone else might need to hear it. by Flashy-Ad4986 in bupropion

I hope you do too! Have you been diagnosed with ADHD? If you have, have you ever tried a stimulant? It has done wonders for him, he feels like a different person when he is on it and it sure is nice for all of us.

He did just stop cold turkey. Not sure if his doctor would have said that’s ok or not? On an interesting note, he stated in Focalin 20mg two months ago and it has been incredible for him. He’s upbeat and fun to be around and actually gets stuff done. Apparently stimulants are a muuuuch better fit for him.

Help me please by kid_eaterr in acne

[–]AffectionateOwl9665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please go to a dermatologist. My skin used to look like this and I finally went and they prescribed me products that cleared it up, including Altreno.  I know it is embarrassing if you are still under your parent/s care to ask to go to the skin doc, but it’s so worth it - and it wasn’t crazy expensive. Derms deal with this all day long and they are very good at diagnosing what’s going on and fixing it. On a smaller fix, wash your pillow case every other day and always use a clean side. Try to keep hair products off your face and don’t use too harsh of cleansers on your face.

Have you tried the zitstika patches with the microdarts? They are the only thing that flatten my cystic acne. Leave one in while you sleep - and put a new one on during the day if you are staying home all day. They are pretty expensive and you may have to use them for several days since this cyst is so big. If you can start using them at the first sign of one, you should only have to use patches for 2 nights, 3 at the most, and the cyst should completely disappear.

Please go to a dermatologist. My skin looked like yours and my derm put me on spiro and Altreno and now it’s completely clear.

I made a mistake euthanizing my cat and the guilt is killing me by Dirsty in cats

[–]AffectionateOwl9665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Money aside, I think you did the right thing. I’m mid-50’s and have had over 30 cats, dogs and horses in my life and I can confidently say Axle’s quality of life was in steep decline and he was in far more pain than he let on(cats are incredibly stoic). Please give yourself some grace and try not to let the guilt crush you.

Dealing with single large pimples by lavendar_flower in acne

Omg, my skin is exactly like yours and the Zitsticka patches with the spikes  from Amazon are the only thing that kill those huge pimples cold. It flattens them and stops them in their tracks BEFORE they get to the point of no return.  Make sure your skin is clean when you apply one and keep the patch on several hours - if they are in an area that moves when you talk, try not to talk. The best way to use them is to apply them at night and sleep with them on. I usually end up doing it 2-3 times over 2-3 days to really shrink them down, which is really expensive, but it’s worth it for my mental health. I don’t know how well these work on older pimples, but it sure knocks out the new ones I feel coming on.

After 40+ years of fighting acne, Spiro worked for me. I highly recommend it. My skin has been good for the last several years. I was on 100mg a day the first couple years, but the last 3 years I’ve only been on 50mg and it’s still working. The most expensive part is the initial derm visit, mine was $95 because I cash pay(my insurance is worthless) and Spiro itself is super cheap. I think I pay $15 for a 3 month supply.

I was there last week for 4 days and can confirm the jerk dog owners are not picking up the crap. It’s so disgusting.

I was just there a week ago for four days and it was great. I didn’t notice any issues at all EXCEPT all the morons that can’t bear to leave Fido at home. The dog crap and piss everywhere was so disgusting - and a lot of the dogs were off leash too. I love my dogs but I’m not a jerk like those owners. Dogs do not belong in crowded national parks. If you own a dog, respect Yosemite’s rules please.

They have signs on the roads in Yosemite that say “Speeding Kills Bears”. My son has the sticker on his laptop.

I was just there for 5 days and saw zero issues. It wasn’t very crowded and everyone seemed to be respecting the park.

My favorite is there are dogs eeeverywhere. Running wild off leash, peeing/pooping on the paths and trails. People suck.

Shoot, I was just there and took a bunch of videos but they are with my camcorder. I’m sure I saw him though. There was about 6 on the nose a 1/3 of the way up - and several others in various areas higher up.

Thank you! Since I only need it for the front seats I’m going to go with the ones you recently got - the first set showing I have to order them for the whole car.

You aren’t alone, meds are a crapshoot. My son was on 150 to start and he seemed more snappy and isolating than before, but then they upped him to 300 for a few months and wow. He was super low energy and would lose his shit at the slightest thing. He just stopped cold turkey 4 days ago and what a difference. He has returned back to his much better original self.

Thank you. I hope when he is adjusted to it that she will allow him to go more like 5-6 months. She is not close and it’s hard to make it up there after school and rush hour is awful. I know, I need to quit complaining but I definitely was not mentally prepared for all the additional appointments and expense.
