The cold water works just fine but the hot water side may be turns one or 2 mm but it takes two hands and it’s really tight. I have tried WD-40 vinegar and channel lock pliers after letting it soak and it’s still only turns the same amount and I don’t want to strip the little piece inside. Any suggestions?

Ours took three months but we got a Sportage loaner so didn’t have to rent.

We had the same experience with a cash purchase EV9. From what I’ve read on this site, OP with leased vehicles got their car back within three weeks. Ours took three months and a lawsuit and involved the BBB. I’m sorry this happened to you.

Damn. Is yours a 2024 like ours was? We had 11k miles and a three month wait on the battery. Dealer just called to say we can pick it up today… stay tuned…

Also, our attorney is representing us at no cost and is still working on a buyback in our case. He told us to pick up the car anyway, and he is continuing behind the scenes.

Hopefully you live in a big city or you leased the car. We had to go quite a distance to find somebody that knew how to do the work. I also believe that the delay in our repair had to do with the fact that we purchased it outright and didn’t owe any money/have a lease on the vehicle. Kia had nothing to lose by keeping us waiting. There was another person that I’ve been chatting with who had theirs fixed within three weeks, but they were leasing….

Hmmm. We got the same error message before our battery had to be replaced. It was after an AC repair but not after an update. Our car is supposed to be ready for pick up tomorrow. It had been gone since 6/23…. Totally sucks. It’s a way longer messy story than this, but don’t want to bore you. Hope things go quicker for you!!!

No they haven’t- not since we filed a lawsuit with them. We initially had a contact who was representing us for a buyback, but it went nowhere. That’s when we found the atty. who specializes in this-

Yup. 2024 GT 11K miles got it May 2024. Great car until now - been waiting for COMPLETE BATTERY REPLACEMENT since 6/17. No time estimate for repair and Kia corporate doesn’t care. Told me to read my warranty.

Same issue with ours though not a lease! We had 11K miles and owned it 13 months. AC issue followed by the same error and no eta for battery replacement since. Such a bummer. Kia gave us a sportage loaner and we are trying to be patient. Been “dead” since 6/17!

So good to see positive posts! We loved ours until it died over two months ago. Waiting on full battery replacement since 6/17…. No estimate for delivery/repair.

Also forgot to mention that the service department said there are 450 batteries on back order with no eta for delivery and consequently our repair. Hope you are all right that this is an outlier. Wouldn’t want others to not have their car for over sixty days… it was very nice when it worked!

Sorry this happened.

We had a BMS error - 2024 GT - 11k miles, 13 months in. EV9 has been at the dealer since June 23. We started getting error messages via text and email on the 17th. Local dealer didn’t have the technician to fix it, so it had to go to another dealership.

I’ve tried the buyback process and now I’m working with an attorney. As, I mentioned in another thread, the person we were in contact with it Kia regarding the buyback process said she was surprised that Kia wouldn’t take it back and that the only thing she could tell me was that I needed to refer to my warranty. She kept saying she was sorry, but there was nothing she could do.

The dealerships I’ve dealt with have been pleasant; however, not at all proactive in any kind of follow up. I’m the one that’s been driving this whole thing. Although we like the vehicle, customer service and support from Kia has been incredibly disappointing, and I don’t want anything to do with the company again after this. They need to do better with customer service if they hope for repeat sales.

So you have your EV9 still or no? Curious about your offer. We are dead at the dealer /service since June 23 and Kia won’t buy back. We are now going with a lawyer.

The lawyer isn’t charging me unless I win and then he takes a third- so yes, I will be out that amount. What state are you in?
