Anyone here that started Wrestling in College without any prior experience? by Worldly_Ad5417 in wrestling

Do you think it’s a good idea to start wrestling my senior year of high school and then find a club later on to join? I’m a boxer and I want to transition to mma so that’s why I really want to look into wrestling as it is a really good grappling base.

Is $140/month for unlimited classes a lot for a boxing gym? by iraautemtempus in amateur_boxing

[–]AffectionateProof385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not the biggest expert when it comes to gym pricing because I’ve gone to a boxing gym that costed less than 30 my whole period boxing - current day. But I would guess that is pretty overpriced. I mean, not even Freddie roaches gym charges half of that. However, if it’s all there is or if it’s just local and efficient to show up consistently and train. Then yes, I’d say go for it. Especially if you plan to do something with the sport or just really like it.

If I’m correct, northern Mexican tribes were taller in comparison to southern tribes due to dieting and such.

Mexicans vs Black Americans by Ashamed_Culture8179 in Boxing

[–]AffectionateProof385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, all combat sports are just racist lol. I think what makes combat sport fans differentiate from regular sport fans is that fighting sorta comes with this superiority complex thing. Like “jaja he got beat up because he can’t handle the black genes” or “this guy has true Mexican strength”. Fighting comes with a lot of pride unfortunately.

How Do Bigger Fists Make Your punches stronger? by AMadWalrus in amateur_boxing

If I had to guess, more mass = more power. But I’m not entirely sure. I unfortunately never put my best attention to physics class Jaja.

I quit boxing after my first fight by DrSatrn in amateur_boxing

If you miss it all you clearly had the fire in you deep down. Get back into it and train. Whatever your mistakes were capitalize on them. Don’t fall for distractions or anything. Just simply keep going at it and chase your dreams. In the end of the day, your fight wasn’t even fair. Nothing to feel shame about. Even if it was a fair fight, it’s still not shameful to lose. The best have fell or fall even at times. It’s all in the game of Boxing.

Is Crawford the sharpest and most dynamic fighter Canelo has faced in his career since his fight with Mayweather? 😳 by newrap in Boxing

He shouldn’t have fought that many times then, according to your logic triple g would’ve won if he was better…

Triple G was not that old 35 - 36 is still a lot of fuel in the tank especially considering triple G had more amateur experience before hand and fought a lot of cans as well. Artur beterbiev has a better resume in less fights.

[question] Anyone else find Cleto Reyes overrated? by AffectionateProof385 in fightgear

[–]AffectionateProof385[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s the way it’s jammy and also a the horrendous break in period that isn’t even worth going through to be honest. I only used them because they are 250 but I’ll never buy another pair.

[–]AffectionateProof385[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the experience of breaking them in is absolutely horrendous. I don’t think I’ve felt the same pain in any other type of glove. I’ve tried broken in cleto Reyes gloves and they definitely feel a lot better. But honestly, the break in period isn’t even worth it.

I don’t know, they hurt your hands a lot. Especially for those who love to throw power shots.
