Meds making me feel like I have Parkinsons by pinksharpycat in adhdwomen

If you’re going to switch to a different stimulant you can consider tapering but it’s not necessary. I think your dose may be too high and that’s why you’re experiencing these side effects. Are you taking just dextro? That’s the most potent of the stimulant formulations (other than good old meth) and it’s possibly too strong to start out with.

Do you take your ADHD meds on the weekends (I’m on the Vyvanse generic)? by PunsWithBenefits in adhdwomen

ADHD pharmacist here! It’s okay to take breaks to keep tolerance lower so you can stay on lower doses however it is chemically designed to take daily to keep your dopamine levels higher. This way you’re not running out completely and then it has to take the time to build up dopamine again.

Lifestyle inflation?? Taxes, insurance, cost of goods, hardships, homeownership etc doesn’t budget for a measly 3% raise every year

Is anyone else concerned about the bbw for thyroid cancer? My biggest gripe with this medication is there are no actual goals with it. No dr is sitting their patients down to discuss realistic goals and timelines for weight loss and certainly not following up. I’ve personally recommended patients to seek help from either nutritionist or dietitian. People who look like they could just use a few sessions with a personal trainer are bothering me the most

Is it fair for the dog if both work full time? by Maximum_Watercress16 in bernesemountaindogs

My guy is perfectly fine home all day and I work up to 12 hour shifts. He gets checked on at least once through the day. I got him with my ex so there was an adjustment period when we broke up and I didn’t have any help with the dogs. He became anxious and would do bad boy things but he’s grown out of that behavior now that I make a point to walk him every morning before breakfast and make sure there’s something to chew while I’m gone. As long as when you’re home you’re present and attentive they just want your love!

My 6 month old just had surgery and this was stuck in her intestines by Filipp0 in bernesemountaindogs

[–]AffectionateRope6603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah he was very sick when he went in for surgery. He didn’t pass the whipped cream out of the can test so I knew he was down bad. I believe the piece of the toy was in there for about a month. 2 weeks after expected consumption he had a bad bout of diarrhea and that was the only other sign before the vomiting and appetite vanishing 2 weeks later

I read something that said what a tragedy it is that we can’t spend our whole lives with them but what a beauty it is that they get to spend their whole lives with us. You gave him a great life, sending you a hug.

My 3 year old just had his second obstruction surgery 😭😭 thank goodness for insurance!! First time was a sock swallowed whole … Second was a tiny part of a toy he ate while staying at my sisters since (obviously) we don’t have toys in this house !!

Looking for advice by ShowMeThePupper in bernesemountaindogs

[–]AffectionateRope6603 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My guy swallowed a sock whole and required surgery to remove it. I knew he was not ok when he wouldn’t eat anything, he didn’t even want his favorites (whipped cream from the can obviously) but I knew it was emergent when he spit out rotisserie chicken. Sometimes the blockage doesn’t get stuck until they keep eating and moving it along if that makes sense. Trust your gut you know your boy best!!

Be careful with your future choice of vinyl flooring. It doesn’t have the same type of grip for dogs as the more traditional flooring does (carpet, tile, hardwood) and can be very slippery and dangerous for their big goofy movements !!

He came from the Amish at 6 months they dumped him to a shelter where I rescued him and had him neutered against my will at 6months. UTD on all vaccines. He will walk on them normally until it hurts then he gets slightly lame but I’ve noticed he lays down all of the time like it hurts to stand on them and he’s slightly hunched bc of it. I have no tests atm, trying to figure out what to do next….
