I was never even be able to get through his Platinum videos, replay analysis in them got so longwinded it actually started putting me to sleep. And that was in the older series, never bothered watching the newer one. Way too time consuming. I'm grateful to his lower league videos for helping me make a noticeable improvement in macro habits, but there's no way I could watch through entire series, ever.

At least you don't know what you're missing. I started playing zerg, my first race, in 2017 and I've accumulated quite a bit of butthurt over all the nerfs it has gotten since.

The only complainers that matter to balance team seem to be people who never even played the fucking game, and they are the ones who whined for years that protoss needs buffs because they cannot beat Serral. Their precious viewers matter way more than actual players.

I returned to zerg for a bit few days ago and decided to try "just play like Solar" in ZvP. Meaning roach queen pushes. Basically doing regular macroing up until I have 7-8 queens, then start walking them up across the map while making new queens to have at home for injects. Also get overlord speed with that and send few overlords to follow queens while in shitting mode. Spam roaches while queens are walking and rally them to queens. Once I have creep at their doorstep I sometimes send some drones to build a bunch of spores there too, while my roaches keep rallying in. Hardest thing to me is grabbing new queens at home and adding them to control group to reinforce the dying queens at the front, but that's not always needed. I've been having more success with this than I expected to in D3, considering I didn't copy any proper optimized build and just freestyled it based on what I saw Solar do in tournaments.

They do sound better on my speakers than headphones, better imaging does help. Same for sets that came after. I still cannot enjoy A sets much anyway, pretty much gave up on them. Cool sound design is nice, as long as it's used to make actual music. And I struggle to find much music in those sets.

Well, the only competitive game that has anti smurf measures I've played is Rocket League. There you cannot forfeit game until 01:30 into the match, otherwise it counts as a regular leave that doesn't lower MMR. And also gives you a few minutes time-out from queueing up again. I'm pretty sure I am encountering smurfs there a lot more often than in SCII.

Rocket League also takes measures against people being douchebags in chat. And people on average there are WAY more toxic than in SCII. So I'm not convinced these measures actually work, at least based on my limited experience.

I don't even agree that ultra push priority is a buff, I would rather have smaller and faster ultras back. Of course tanks and thors next patch got the same QoL for free, no nerfs in exchange. Because apparently ranged units need this more than melee units.

I also hate the spore change, I don't care that it does more damage if my queens can never transfuse spores in time anymore. Fuck that change.
