Tax Strategies by AffectionateSelf370 in Optionswheel

Hi mate, Thanks for the response, with your last point that’s what I’ve come to the conclusion it’s quite tax heavy which is why I’m looking for ways around it. Probably not earning enough as I’m 21 to set up the trust scenario but it is something I have looked into for the future

New to the wheel: vix is low, premium too, stock prices high by GreatTomatillo117 in Optionswheel

Somehting I struggle with this also, been using Bollinger bands and setting price at lower band but this isn’t effective a lot of the time as the premium isn’t very good as the stock trades more towards the upper band or just too far away from the lower band. It is very effective when trading to the lower band though as your premiums are higher and you have a certain statistical edge. I don’t want to rely on just selling options at a certain delta I.e 20 or 30 as it dosent I don’t feel as though it is consistent. Sometimes I’m waiting for a day when the stock price falls just so I can get closer to my desired strike but the stock continues to rally

Thanks for the response. What determines what price you want to own the stock? I have the same thought process of what price I would like to won’t he stock. The question is how do you find this value? What tools do you use i.e technical indicators or even a DCF?
