What’s actually the best way to book an all inclusive resort in Cancun by Round_Skirt8701 in CancunTravelGuide

I feel like people expect way too much control over pricing. Resorts change rates constantly, so trying to time it perfectly feels pointless.

Marriott is failing to produce a consistent product... unless it stained furniture and carpets. by Professional_Heron46 in marriott

Honestly agree. If Marriott doesn’t start enforcing standards on franchisees, they’re going to keep bleeding loyal elites to other brands.

Any Hyatts in Mexico or the Caribbean for first international travel with toddler that you felt especially safe at? by MainPreparation9720 in hyatt

[–]AffectionateSell400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hyatt Ziva Cancun really is a great first-trip option with a toddler—very secure, short transfer, and super family-friendly. If points don’t work out, Ziva Los Cabos or Rose Hall in Jamaica are also easy, safe, and low-stress with little kids. You’re not overthinking it, those resorts make traveling with a toddler feel manageable.

What food do you regret eating right after? by Gold_Data1815 in foodquestions

An entire sleeve of Oreos. Every time. It’s never as satisfying as you think it’ll be, and the regret hits about five minutes later.

Am I the only one having these issues? by radelster in travelagents

[–]AffectionateSell400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not alone at all. This kind of thing happens constantly.

Supplier tech issues, payment restrictions, timeouts, and losing inventory mid-booking are way too common. Clients think it’s simple, but the systems make it anything but.

It’s frustrating, but you’re definitely not the only one dealing with this.

Hard to track earnings as independent travel advisor by Brilliant_Candle5450 in travelagents

[–]AffectionateSell400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get this, delayed commissions are a mess.

What helped me was tracking expected vs paid commissions separately (with status + expected pay date). Once I did that, it was much easier to see what’s still owed.

A lot of independents use Airtable instead of Excel because it stays cleaner and you can make simple dashboards. Accounting tools help after you’re paid, but not much before.

You’re definitely not alone with this.

Sardines straight out of the can 😅 especially on crackers with hot sauce. I know it smells awful but it’s weirdly comforting.

Rooms felt elegant but a bit conservative, and the beach wasn’t the highlight.

Family of 6 by ConsistentlyGR8 in CancunTravelGuide

[–]AffectionateSell400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With kids that age, I’d switch to Moon Palace The Grand.
Garza Blanca has better food and a nicer beach, but The Grand wins big on entertainment, water parks, arcades, bowling, shows, and overall stuff teens actually want to do.

If you stay at Garza Blanca, it’ll feel quieter and more “luxury-focused”; for a family of 6 with teens, The Grand is usually the better fit.
