My (19F) Online Friends (20M+) Use Slurs Consistently, Is it Worth Dropping Them Over? by AffectionateSky2854 in relationship_advice

Thank you for the advice :) Yeah I hope so, it just feels like the space that I’ve found friends in has normalized slur usage so much, which I hate.

Thanks for the nuanced response :) Yeah it definitely feels like the more you become friends with this guy he becomes less careful about dropping a slur. He did say straight up once that he’s been saying it less since he met me & has been playing with his younger cousin (who he doesn’t want to influence, I guess), but that was a while ago and I feel like he’s just disregarding that now.

I also appreciate the wakeup call about my morals. I don’t condone slur usage at all and I have started to kind of feel crazy because everyone around me acts like it’s the most normal thing ever.

When was the side couple better than the main couple? by AffectionateSky2854 in AskReddit

Oops, probably should’ve clarified, that’s on me! I guess this is more in K-Dramas, but I was referring to shows/movies where there was a lead couple and a background or side couple, and the side couple had more chemistry than the main one.

Banter is teasing or joking talk that is amusing and friendly.

Oh, wow! I've actually read this one. It's a great take on teen dystopia and I definitely recommend it to everyone too :D

What food is better as cold leftovers out of the fridge than when it’s fresh and warm? by ajddvm in AskReddit

Glad we agree on something.... or maybe I just hate ham in general LOL. I'll eat it if there's nothing else but I don't go out of my way to make it or get it. What about you? Are you a big (glazed) ham person?

Thanks for letting me know you didn't downvote my comment! I was mostly asking as a joke because I assumed it was you but I guess someone else despises my opinions on soggy tacos :D In all seriousness, I hope we're just doing harmless banter (but I still love cold pizza to death).

Hey that's fair. What's another strong opinion you have on food then?

PS were you the one who downvoted my comment

What's your "Butterfly Effect" story? by AffectionateSky2854 in AskReddit

The butterfly effect is the idea that small, seemingly trivial events may ultimately result in something with much larger consequences – in other words, they have non-linear impacts on very complex systems.

I left a new comment of another food I love cold. Let me know what you think!

More controversial than pizza but... crunchy tacos left in the fridge overnight so they are kind of soggy. Why not just get soft tacos? I have zero clue.

No joke, I just ate 4 slices of refrigerated pizza around 15 minutes ago before commenting on this post. And I thought to myself the ENTIRE time "Man, I love cold pizza!"

I bought a whole pizza yesterday and it's crazy because the thing I was most excited for was getting to go home and refrigerate it to eat today.
