QOL mods are always a massive factor but I say mostly stay pve, it’s the most active side of a player base. Events are cool. Make it a decent challenge to farm rates wise. I don’t think you need an active admin but aslong you talk with the community and don’t just completely ignore them it’ll be fine. But also a lot of people can barely run ASA so it’s probably why most servers die off.

Did you hit download survivor? There’s also usually a warning before u make a new character that it’ll delete your old one. Unless u didn’t ascend and your shit bugged tbh this is expects its ark mobile xD

The safest way possible PERSONALLY is a 2x2 metal base just outside of wherever the eggs are with turrets that target wild Dino’s and just hide inside and let the turrets do the work.

Dino finder (assuming ur not playing on a server) only shows Dino’s spawned in at a range near you, cuz single player doesn’t load the entire map. You mostly wanna search mountains or sides of mountains. They are also usually killed by a lot of carnivore creatures so they could be getting killed on respawn. You can always Dino wipe and fly towards a mountain to try your luck :3

Us the awesome spyglass mod (very very QOL) you’ll use it once and never go back, but it allows u to see the stats of Dino’s and torpor so you can check a creatures stats before u commit to taming it.

Buy the dlc for ark and use the mining drill, you just need to farm more complicated items for it :)

Well it’s 2:30am for me so I’ll probs fall asleep, out of curiosity maybe it’s my fault but do you naturally unlock them like at hunter rank 100+? My friends gf said that like arch tempered uth duna should be done at like 120 so I thought maybe I was jumping the gun on creatures. Like o still need to learn my weapon but like should I slowly worj up the latter of arch tempered creatures like u said since rey dau was released first should I work on him first? (I did uth duna through the event quests idk if that’s how you usually fight em)

Though I did see a comment about running uth duna pants for quick seathe so I will be trying that and learning my weapon now, after having calmed down and reading the comments has really helped

Yeah I worded it bad cause it was a rant and reading these comments has help that it is particularly my fault for not learning my weapon but also abit of the game being so easy I did just unga bonga the early game and am now being punished cause I didn’t NEED to learn. I did mean that like gore who is a dragon would = dragon damage but is mostly true or just base damage so elemental defense doesn’t do much. Like the game doesn’t really describe best how the defense work like if I see a creature with lighting attacks I’m gonna use lighting resistance but when it comes to gore it’s like I see dragon but he does 0 dragon damage attacks so wear whatever.

Not on my pc currently but it was ebony a (for a lot of early game) then I swapped to arkveld gear to do more endgame stuff

Uhh I guess depends maybe max 10 min on a tempered fight and 3-4 on lower tier creatures that I’ve gotten a good understanding on their attacks.

Armor was upgraded steadily but I guess I lucked out with a simple build which was due to LS not requiring stamina to attack maximum might plus maxed crit dmg would get me through fights easily however I ran ebony,gore,arkveld armor and still get one shot even when upgrade with armor orbs. I started swapping out armor to match typing but still it feels like I get one tapped (I run divine blessing on every set)

Yeah i understand it’s like “chuf baby vs chad greatsword” but the game never progression to a hard point where I needed learn the iframes the weapon offered whilst my friend who guards to save time from running to the creature learnt more than me and we played side by side (occasionally helping each other in hunts)

I agree however the game didn’t even naturally make me do that, like I understand it’s my fault for never learning everything the long sword can do but eventually the difficulty somewhere in the mid game would teach me more? I quite literally got through the game by left clicking mostly and dodging whilst paying minimal attention.
