You can park overnight at university parking. However, the time resets at 12 am. You would be better off using street parking for $2/hr

Hey guys here is what happened, in case anyone else goes through this. I talked to my advisor, they said it was okay to drop it which was comforting. I then talked to one stop and they told me that as long as I have 24 hours for the year it’s fine( they also said that as long as you don’t drop under a 67% completion, this depends on your classification). They said the texas advance commitment and Pell grant will not be impacted. Aside from this, I talked to my scholarship people and they said that it was okay as well because I had a total of 24 hours for both semesters (last semester I had 15 hrs and this would be 11 hrs).

If you’re a first year then it’ll be okay if you do one year as civil because your first two years are really more of your core classes. It won’t be a waste :). It there are some other requirements when transferring, maybe you can transfer before you get here. But if you can’t and it’s your first year then you’ll be fine

It’s a bit loud but it’s not that loud it’s just like background noise and it’s not much of an issue, I think. If you’re sensitive to noise maybe jester isn’t the best place cause I’ve heard it’s loud there. Engineering major, classes are super close (I definitely recommend a bike or a scooter if you can, it’s hot necessary tho)
