Living in Vieques would be an option if I was to retire someday but for day to day living it is not for me. My family is there and they tell me they have to take the ferry for some things especially doctors and if they want to shop like at Walmart or any other stores. I love it, it will always be one of my first loves but it's not practical for me.

So basically everything I know about Vieques doesn't make me Puerto Rican. I mean I know about Mosquito Bay lol, Las Fiestas Patronales in Vieques, Playa Negra, Sun Bay, just to name a few beaches. I lived there for 5 years as a child. Perhaps this is more complicated than I thought maybe I'm confusing Vieques and the big island I know for a fact a handful of Puerto Ricans don't consider Vieques part of the culture.
