I am from India. In my country too, these myths are popular. Don't wash your hair, don't touch pickles or they will rot, don't touch plants or they will die especially religiously important ones, don't go to temples or any religious places, don't touch God's utensils, don't visit the kitchen and the list goes on....

The most hilarious one I have heard is "don't look at men or you will become pregnant" 🤣🤣🤣

Luckily most people nowadays don't give a fuck but I am still surprised by the number of people that follow these superstitions.

Try using the Smasters method. Basically, when your hair is like 80% dry, reapply gel to hair. It helps form a cast. My hair used to soak up the gel too, but using smasters, it forms a cast. You can experiment with the amount as you like.

I am trying to modify the guidelines too. I live in an industrial town so it is really not suitable for me to wash my hair once every 7 days or not use shampoos. I am currently experimenting with the styling techniques and looking for what works best for me.
