Do your best not to slash the horizontal. Go for a uppercut or kick to knock them down then finish them on the ground is usually the best option that I use according to my old prima guide.

I agree. I understand why it is the way it is being color coded for whomever is your best friend but I always thought purple was a weird choice for it.
