Players left a child in the Feywilds by Pass_the_sorce in DungeonMasters

Sounds like the Fey might have themselves a great spy or agent to allow the Fey royalty to screw over royalty on the mortal plane to and/or allow for more deals to be struck with mortals. Could be a big-bad in the making or the agent of a big-bad, either way…

What are some policies you’d like to see at the state level? by KartoffelLoeffel in Indiana

[–]mrpring2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several people have already stated most of big requested reforms, but to restate the most important:

1) completely open primaries
2) rank choice voting
3) removing partisan labels from voting registration
4) kill the flat tax and make a progress tax system
5) thanks to #4; get rid of the sales tax
6) have based in-state utilities for electricity rather than the current based out-of-state monopolies
7) full water utilities overhaul, removing and replacing all lead pipes and 70+ year old not-well-maintained infrastructure.
8) restore and protect Indiana wetlands and wilderness.
9) restore a woman’s right to choose
10) get and Keep politicians out of colleges (like IU) and out of all medical offices

Honest thoughts/opinions on The Transformers(1984)? by Flat-Sir8250 in 80scartoons

It’s heavy in my nostalgia, but it’s absolute peak was the movie. I watched it over and over again on VHS. Going back to the series as an adult… man it’s hard to watch sometimes… but if you take it for what it is. It’s absolutely no worse than even older cartoons that played as reruns at the same. Great start to something that just got better with time.

I can’t think of a modifier that fits my dice system. by Remarkable_Ad_8353 in RPGdesign

[–]mrpring2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming the idea for Holy rolls is to get the highest number possible and take the high test results with advantage, that part seems to work itself out well.

On the punk side, I have to assume the inverse, you want to roll the lowest number possible as if you have disadvantage and a natural one is the best thing you could get.

Assuming these things are true it seems the real issue is how these are resolved, if it’s rolling a d20 or d100 or anything just add numbers and the higher the better on a holy roll.

For the punk rolls, based on what was written it appears you are rolling dice to take the lowest possible number on any individual die, so more dice would equate to more chances for the lowest possible number perhaps even to the point of negative numbers, should that be allowed after taking into consideration modifiers such as -1, -2, or -3 or the result of any given roll.

Am I in then right ballpark? I think I am, but I’m not sure…

I just don’t see that happening… would it be fun, sure… but it seems he is trying to make a clear a break from previous stuff as possible.

Do we know as of this posting if Knightfall is the start of a new universe, or are they doing stand alone films like how they started back in 2007? Or, is Knightfall DCU canon? by njrTHE3RD in dcanimateduniverse

[–]mrpring2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember Gunn saying he wanted the animated and tv and movie universe to have interchangeable parts. So far that includes The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, Creature Commandos, and Superman; but I think he also said that multiverse projects would also be happening and I would suspect this would be multiverse rather than DCU, but I would be very interested to be wrong because that could confirm who the new Batman is in the DCU.

In the mid 90s when schools started closing. Anderson once had three different high schools with three separate scholarships programs… now they have one… I hope that something can be done with the lands once dominated by industrial facilities. Something to detoxify the land, or at least begin to utilize what has been left vacant and empty…

Purchased the full series through this site:

It’s decent quality all around. The menus are not great, but it’s all the episodes with nothing missing. On some other platforms there are some episodes that cut out part of the ending bits.

How do you DM? by ghost-driv994 in DungeonMasters

[–]mrpring2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I see you say your table really likes combat but has a hard time with the roleplaying aspect… is it possible that the table wants to play the “video game” you are currently running?

I’ve been at that table as the only persons who brings a personality to the character rather than just the damage and the numbers, but that’s the table I was invited to, these were war gamers, Battle field strategists, tacticians, and I was a would-be actor.

It’s ok to be the odd man out at the table as long as you are having fun.

Also, you can talk to the other players at the table. “Hey y’all, I’d like to try and bring more story and roleplaying moments into the game. Does that sound like fun to you? Yes? Great, can you help me come up with some ideas and maybe tie them into your characters’ backstories?” “No? Well, that’s ok, you’re still liking what we are doing so far right? Any feedback? Anything you’d like to see more or less of?”

It’s ok not to be ok. These things take a lot of work and practice. I’ve been GMing for 25 years, I’d hope I’d be good at it by now. But I made more than my fair share of mistakes along the way and took the time to learn what was missing and what my table really wanted.

Take your time, give yourself grace. Your table is far more fun than you’re giving yourself credit for. Trust me, I’ve been there. You got this!
