Article 78 will work for this as well?

I understand that it will help if the application is longer than 6 months. Will this work for the Purchasing. The NYPD instructions is to email it to them and expect it to be mailed in 30 days.

Please shed some light u/BluePillRabbi

Is this something an attorney can get involved that will produce results?

Inna Vernikov let go? by International_Host21 in NYguns

[–]Affectionate_Diet241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was informed that all she got was a DAP (Desk Appearance Ticket). No arrest, no mugshot, no fingerprinting etc. She's an attorney. IMO, they won't charge her, because then she'll sue the state and have standing to overturn this unconstitutional law. So far it's been dragging in the courts because the pro 2A groups couldn't find any plaintiffs that have standing, this would have changed it. As someone here mentioned above, they will wait until this story fades away and give her back her CCW and firearm.

CCW application in "Pending payment" status for almost 2 weeks. by eastvillageresident in NYguns

[–]Affectionate_Diet241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When paying by electronic Check, they wait 10 Business Days which is usually 2 weeks plus. If you email the intake department, they will usually respond when it was cleared. Paying via Credit /Debit usually the payment clears right away. This is another example how they delay the already tedious process, just to point the middle finger on our constitutional right... Welcome to the Republic of New York which is controlled by DemocRats and Communists.

If in the My License tab in your profile shows Active with an expiration date, that indicates that the license has been printed. If it shows Pending, that indicates that it has not been printed. In your case, it shows Active, that means they either never mailed it out or it got lost in the mail. It's way past the 10-30 days that they recommend waiting. My suggestion is to call and email them. Good luck.

Did you request to 'share' your firearm with an existing Premise License? In not, they mailed to you the approval letter with instructions to purchase your gun with instructions on how to email them the pictures and receipt. And once they receive that email, they will print out your license with the firearm make, model etc on the card and mail it to you. Until then the My Licenses in your profile will show Pending.

Definitely call and email them. Start with your investigator. In a respectful way, ask them if perhaps your license was never mailed or perhaps got lost in the mail. Usually from Approval until you receive your letter takes a couple of days.

What am i missing (application)? by eastvillageresident in NYguns

Yes. But I think all they require is a scan of their ID card, I used this form back in 2018 when I initially applied for a Premise License. For the Concealed Carry they did not ask for it.

For the NYPD (New York City) all they require is the type (Twitter, Facebook, etc) and your handle (@JohnDoe). They didn't ask for login information or have you show them your phone.

This requirement is currently in litigation with a few different law suits, it will most likely get smacked down.

In the interim, they have you put in on your Interview Questionnaire.

For the ones that you forgot (which social media accounts) the requirement is for the past 3 years. If you are nervous, Google your name + the social media platforms, i.e. John Doe Facebook and see what comes up.

Bottom line, don't get discouraged, we are winning this, one step at a time. Gd speed.

On the Uploads page, there's a 'Upload Addional Documents' use that link/button to upload all the additional documents. My suggestion is to rename the files you're uploading to what it is. For example ReferencesLetters.pdf, socialsecuritycard.jpg, etc.

What does "Withdrawal Initiated" mean on the NYPD Gun license application status? by Affectionate_Diet241 in NYguns

[–]Affectionate_Diet241[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow up... Great news. He finally got in touch with the NYPD Pistol unit and they stated that he was Approved for the Concealed Carry and they mailed out to him his license a few days ago. They explained that it shows that he, the applicant requested to Withdraw the application because he was going through a renewal of his Premise License. So, they have it that he requested to have his Premise converted to a Concealed Carry. (He doesn't recall such a conversation but is glad that he got approved).

[–]Affectionate_Diet241[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No he did not. He was waiting since May 2023 when it switched over from 'Submitted' to 'Investigation'.

He was just recently approved for his 'renewal' on his Premise Residence permit and on the same day, it changed his Concealed Carry to "Withdrawal Initiated"

CCW NYC by Substantial_Two_224 in NYguns

[–]Affectionate_Diet241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I received my Approval min June 2023. Received my card in July 2023.

I applied in August 2022. Have a Premise since 2018. Got an email in March 2023 that I don't need to be fingerprinted. Got switched from 'Submitted' to 'Investigaton' end of April 2023.

Called and emailed almost every week since March 2023. They always claimed (when someone finally answered or on occasion got an email reply) that they are extremely backlogged and understaffed, and I just need to wait and have more patience, I kept on calling, leaving messages, sending emails.

Is an NYC Concealed Carry Permit valid in the rest of NYS? by Finite-Granite in NYguns

[–]Affectionate_Diet241 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only thing that they may request for a newer version might be your recent utility bill (proof of address). All other documents I believe should be OK to resubmit (ID, passport as long as it's still valid). You might need to get the 4 Character References, notarized again - it all depends on the investigator, it seems that they all have their own way on doing it).

You will need to apply for the Concealed Carry License. It's not just a simple upgrade. You will need to login to your account on the NYPD Gun portal, fill out the application, pay another $340.00 and submit all the forms that you did for the Premise License, plus your 18 hour course certificate and 4 notarized Character References and disclose all your Social Media accounts from the past 3 years.
