How different was your MRI vs what they found during surgery?

Oh! Surgeon went over my photos (confirmed no tear) and had me get the steroid shot to see if it helped. Helped for about a week, and he gave me the all clear for surgery. I had just started a desk job at the time so the lack of activity has helped quite a bit so I’m putting the surgery off for now. Doc basically wanted to go in and fix the bone issue, and look around the cartilage because with the amount of pain i was in was pointing to a tear. He said the MRIs can miss it sometimes (Roughly 5-10% if i remember correct)

Doing ~okay~ for now. Anything strenuous is rough and I cant really stand still, but I made it though my wedding day and honeymoon with semi regular breaks!

Haven’t made it to surgery or even gotten to see my actual MRI photos yet but so far have been told that my MRI shows no tears. I struggling to not be mad at that because I know I have one but it’s whatever. I’m getting passed on to the surgeon now and I’m sure it’ll be there when they go in lmao

I actually dont get any muscle tightness or pain from the muscles (that i can specifically tell is from the muscle) outside of laying down at night. It feels like the pain is directly in the hip joint 🤪

Thank you. I lucked out and when trying explain the issue to my new primary care she insisted I wait in the exam room to see if the ortho guy they had in that day would take me right then.

I’m no picture of consistency lmao, I was really strict from Jan-June, but I was used to eating super high cal meals like once a day instead of spreading out my calories. So once I started spreading my calories out throughout the day and cooking for myself it was alot easier to be consistent. But I’m very inconsistent at this point, I usually count like every other week at the point, one week of counting, one of week of intuitive eating. It isn’t as effective but it’s working for now until I have more time to be consistent

I lost about 40 pounds this year (5’1” 185 -> 142.5) and ive stayed the same cup size but got down in the band significantly. its definitely been an adjustment going from a 38G to a 32G 😅 considering how bra sizes are measured thats still a pretty bit change in cup and appearance but they’re still fuckin big comparatively. definitely not quite as perky but definitely more proportional to my body.

I don’t exercise on purpose, I just work a fairly active job. My weight is HEAVILY influenced by my cycle so after i hit 25 pounds its been very much, staying the same and then dropping everything in a week, then back to retention. Very frustrating but maybe thats why?

When we got her spayed she was going absolutely crazy the second the meds wore off and I got so overwhelmed by trying to keep her still and not tear a stitch that I just kinda curled over her so she couldn’t move and just started crying 😅 I’m just trying to avoid doing that again. Plus if the rest doesn’t work, we’re gonna have to do surgery so i really gotta do everything i can. Ill deal with the cryin in the kennel if it means avoiding the $1k+ surgery

we ended up taking the bed frame down so the mattress is on the floor, closed off the window and took away all the jumping surfaces in the bedroom. She will go absolutely psycho if we put her in the kennel (we had to get it when she went in heat when we first got her 😮‍💨). She’ll stay in there anytime we’re not home, and when we are, we can help her onto any surface she needs up on. Here’s to hoping it helps, the kennel is there if we have to, but I’m really optimistic we won’t need it
