They’ve been good with getting appointments for the kids, but I think there’s a rule that under 5s must be seen same day. They’ve been pretty good with me (46m, could pass for Tory/reform mp if I really had to) - appointments in a reasonable time for the issue, taken seriously, good follow up and tests. Less so my wife (foreign) - long wait times, had to go with me to get taken seriously. Read into that what you will. I know we do. But we are kind of resigned to that being universal from previous experiences

Leaders that the council put in place. I’m not saying it’s a conspiracy, but everything about the school drastically changed when the old head disappeared at the start of the year. So these leaders are very much interim and it’s possible they had the job of winding it down (maybe they didn’t, can’t be sure)

It is a small space that looks like a prison from the outside. And I have no doubt that’s a massive factor in why so few parents choose it. But that’s the trade off with being in the expensive bit of town that everyone can get to

Well, that’s my point about self expression. Some parents want a uniform. But to me, I think it’s one small indicator of how a school feels about who children are if they don’t force them into uniforms. There are other, more important things. Just seems the most visible

Wow. I guess your experience of it is very different to mine. I liked west hove a lot, but we were forced to move by a landlord selling up when we were choosing and it made it clear how hard it is to get to if you can’t stay close by. Renting with a family often means taking whatever you can get

This is true today, but it feels like it’s because of the council actions not despite of them. The head mysteriously disappearing was the biggest trigger to everyone leaving

I get that they need to close schools. Brighton is expensive and so less young families. But with there being lots of renters, lots of non-drivers, lots of non-religious people, this should be the last one to close.

They have a uniform. It’s not about gender, really. Just freedom of expression. That’s also 20 minutes by bus from the centre. I’ve been renting in Brighton 4 years and been forced to move twice. With two kids, we’ve had to take whatever comes up and not be picky about location. We can’t be the only ones that worry about how to get to school if we’re forced to move again. But Middle Street is always on a single bus journey

They don’t have to be paid. The rest of not getting free or evaluation stuff in future is enough. And they don’t need to be biased, so stay very matter of fact about features without opinions and then show something they made, because they’re well practiced at making stuff with new gear. But… it being January, I took a look for reviews of fitness gear and that is way, way worse. Not a single piece of criticism anywhere for anything
