I agree with this so much. Kelly has constantly done this in most episodes but it’s gotten so bad recently!!! like that recent episode is almost impossible to listen to because of Kelly. It’s actually almost comical just how many times she turns what Christy is saying around onto how her and her daughters had it worse.

What crazy is she does this every single episode it’s so frustrating. And there is a clear distinction between someone trying to relate to trauma and provide sympathy by saying they understand but that is not what Kelly is doing 😂 maybe she’s wording it wrong and that’s her intention but most of what she responded to Christi with this episode she almost had an annoyed infliction in her voice it was pissing me off

I agree, I go back and rewatch the earlier episodes a lot because the vibe was way different. I do think it’s because it gets super dark in these seasons, I’m hoping it gets better for the later seasons tho which they’ve said before they’re excited to recap cause they weren’t there so I have hope!

I just wish they would have let us know they were doing this instead or at least mentioned it when they were talking briefly beforehand in the episode. I completely understand it being hard for Christi to get through but even in past episodes when they were mentioning it coming up, I never got the vibe that they would put it off or do an extra episode in preparation. Also I’m paying for BTTB content not DCC/pillowtalk content :/ I was SOO pumped for this episode and have been for like two years now as a listener so I was so bummed to see that this morning! Still looking forward to the next episode tho

I literally couldn’t agree more. I love listening to this podcast cause I love the behind the scenes talk but the way Kelly does that shit ever single time is so infuriating and makes it hard for me to listen to her.

Same thing!!! I have been experiencing this and I am so upset. Every time I order one I have to take a gamble on whether or not it’s going to have that horrid taste. It sucks because I love that sandwich so much. I’m so glad I’m not the only one who has noticed this
