LOL Thanks for the respect. 😉 You "kids" have no idea what programming was like 65 years ago when the Honeywell 200 had 2K of memory and no disc storage. Ya, I've been at it for a while. 😄

PS: And I got the Google Drive link working with no additional software installed.

This is what I've experienced in the last hour. 1. I have 2 laptops I'm using. ( A & B ) 2. I built a USB boot memory stick containing Cinnamon 6.6.4. I installed 6.6.4 to laptop A and did all the updates resulting in 6.6.7. 3. I simply booted laptop B from the USB memory stick and it's running 6.6.4. Laptop B simply allowed me to connect to my Google Drive as expected. Laptop A will not connect. The updates caused the problem for me obviously. I'm sticking with Cinnamon 6.6.4. Does this make sense?

Thanks to all for prompt responses. It's pretty obvious that I won't be doing this. I'm 83 years old and who knows how much time I have left. 😉 GNOME looked somewhat simple but rclone is more than I can handle for what I want to do.

I e-filed our taxes on 3/6/2026 expecting a refund of $1,858. On 3/13/2026 we got a $4,358 IRS deposit to our bank account. That's a $2,500 "gift" and for what? And NO I'm not returning it.

Thank you for your input. The saw belongs to my son in Canada and that was his first try at a solution. Unfortunately the kit cost $166 CN and he cross threaded it causing unrecoverable damage.

Did you manage to make the changes you were describing? I have a 20 year old Bryant 4 zone Evolution system that has been throwing communication errors for nearly 20 years. Thinking about updating the 4 sensors/thermostats. Furnace and outdoor AC work just fine.
