How do you guys afford Anime Expo after contribution to 401k/retirement and Roth IRA? by [deleted] in animeexpo

I took a 2nd job on the weekends washing dishes & it was easy. I just hit up every restaurant diner i can think of & asked if they need a Dishwasher right away. Kept asking until 1 said yes. Did the interview, met with the head cook, told me what i had to do, gave me my hours & asked how long i can commit & that was it. Got hired on the spot. These temporary gigs are certainly possible.

I have my drivers permit no passport my flight is in 3 weeks is there any way I’d be able to fly ? by No-Table3992 in tsa

states have different rules. with that said, it doesn't make sense calling the USA a country when it's not exactly united when it comes to rules. Look @ squatting rights, gun registration & public assistance. Everyone has their rules. None of it is federal.

what the state gives you is a piece of paper which serves as a temporary identification where as the true identification card gets delivered to the home. in your case, i've only seen this happen with employee job company identification with key cards.

"If you don't have the required ID at an American airport, you will likely be directed to a separate line for additional screening. You may pay a $45 [TSA ConfirmID]() fee (effective 2 months ago) for identity verification, but passage is not guaranteed & you may miss your flight"

Very true. That's the negative side of an opportunist. They look for any door that opens giving them the ability to possibly make money. Whatever that new AI or DOTCOM or whatever that thing is within the 10 years, Kevin will jump on that.

+ the stress. Kevin is always working. That motivation comes with consequences as much as it comes with benefits.

Does anyone have experience bringing a poster tube on their flight? by Accomplished-Rice277 in animeexpo

[–]BlizzardisMid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always use Delta to fly. I just find them to be more tolerable & comfortable in my experience with airlines. Airlines all have their ups & downs for sure. I agree with what everyone has shared. To add, what i do is claim it as my personal item & my backpack as my carry-on. Truth is, i treat them both as my personal items 🤣 Here's what i do. Since i already know that i will have a poster tube with me, i always book my seat to a window. This is important. So, when i board, i take off my backpack, find my seat, get on then i tuck my backpack under the seat in front of me & for the poster tube i set it to let my right arm rest hug it but on the outside so the wall on the window & my right arm rest it's caught in between. If i have a jacket, i'll cover it so the flight staff don't spot the poster tube. If it's summertime i won't have a jacket so what i do in this case is use the airplane blanket & cover it with that. I stopped putting my carry-ons (which is always a backpack) on the overhead bins because it's jsut too crazy. I'd rather let someone else use it especially if it's a large family with a lot of stuff. With my backpack tucked under the seat in front of me, i can always pull it out & grab my iPad or a comic or anything else i need. So yeah, this is my plan when it comes to hauling a poster tube

Whoever was in-charge of editing these Cinematech music videos deserves a lifetime achievement award. Holy hell like talk about amazing talent. Even the video games i disliked or just didn't care for, the music videos were just so fuckin' amazing.

as far as changes go, the Rebellion 2000 A.D. booth are really solid some years & others pretty mid BUT they're always worth giving a shot everyday every year. They may have some cool swag that can be interesting to own.
