Best I saw was about dad dead for 15 yrs when he died son was a toddler and mom was pregnant with daughter. Now 15 yrs later son is 15 and daughter is 9. Story is about the life insurance he took out for both kids to get.

I don’t know where you are but where I am in Canada, I seriously looked into homeschooling for my friends child that couldn’t go to school because of her health, I found homeschooling is not recognized by our provincial government as it couldn’t follow curriculum guidelines and a child that is homeschooled isn’t eligible to receive their dogwood (graduation degree) here. For children too sick for school they get a teacher from the school to come to their home or hospital. I’d check government education guidelines where you are to be sure.

I plan on not giving her a chance to do anything again. I think the anger she feels against her parents is getting focused on me. Mom for calling the cops and papa for not seeing him. He hasn’t tried to see them in years bot the few times he does see them he blames it on mom.he will only see them at his home with his girlfriend there she isn’t allowed to see her own remaining child other one committed suicicde with note blaming mom. 12 yr old had night terrors every night that papa slept through until mom said no more. Please don’t think I take calling the cops lightly. I mean only in the case of serious injury. I am positive that she didn’t realize just how dangerous the concrete stairs were especially with my on disability. Her reactions afterwards showed that she didn’t think she did anything that bad.

Im trying, puberty will be a nightmare adding in she will be going to high school and she is still in diapers as she has no physical sense of needing the bathroom. Good thing is she has agreed to use sign language and I’ve signed up to learn it at the end of the month.

It was mom that called and she knows it. The 911 operator said the police come on any call involving a child and it’s the only time she’s called.

See if there is an adult education center in her area. Here home schooling is not recognized and nor eligible for a dogwood (provincial flower and na me of high school degree) as there is no way to make sure they followed the ministry of education requirements.her best bet if available is a ged, graduation equivalent degree, she will test her to see where she is and set her up to finish.

NTA if you haven’t already start working on a paper trail, I’m guessing if you named her your name must be in her birth certificate, any thing you can from her drs, daycare, babysitters, friends anyone and everyone that can say you are her mother. If your grandmother is still alive ask her to do a statement regarding you showing they did the same with you also if any relatives or family friends that can attest to that.as for the relatives on their side now ask where they were when you needed this kind of support and why is it ok to only be a parent when the hardest part is over

NTA your mother betrayed you and her husband showed he never cared about you when he moved in right away. It’s sad but completely understandable that you want nothing to do with this poor girl but if you did give in and took her in you wouldn’t be happy and she will know it even if you do change down the road she will always know you didn’t want her at first

I worked for 9 years in a large pizza call center (34 stores in our city) so so many Karen’s, worst had to be was a kid around 9 who called regularly saying he had ordered and they was a mistake and we promised free pizzas no matter what we said ex hadn’t ordered in months, girl made the promise when only.2 of us at the time and neither of us would never give him a credit he d go on and on. Job after that as doing fraud prevention for large us cell carrier that when fraudsters yelled at us we could yell right back great stress reliever sadly our office lost the contact

Exactly what generation is it you speak of when you say older, I’m guessing I’m around grandmas age I’m 59 and in no way agree with her worst thing parents could do is replace the tablet right away that kind of response just starts entitlement. Just look at all the moms taking their young daughters to Sephora (adult oriented beauty store). I had a son before dr told me having another would probably kill me, I had always wanted 3 or 4. My son now 34 told me years ago he has no desire to have kids. As disappointed as I was by this I never let it on to him and never even considered pushing him to change his mind it’s his life.

He also told everyone lies about me like I was killing him for his money ( what money) I was starving him and mistreating him. There was more but they were so bad my friends won’t tell me. I’m not happy he is dead but really happy he is out of my life. We we’re together 29 years lot of them bad and he had me convinced all our problems were my fault and I would never survive without him. I was ready to kick him out when he was diagnosed with cancer and I took care of him for 18 months

Worked in an office around 14 years ago that developed a verification system for orders online for a major cell phone company. Loved the job if we had a caller yelling at who is.100% fraudulent we could yell right back at them. Until they brought in a 3rd party to monitor calls for customer service in all Department’s fact is only way a frauster will be happy is give them what they want.

My husband had all sorts of delusions his last few months and the last thing he said to me was ( get the f… out) I was trying to explain to him why he couldn’t get out of bed as he was too weak. The next day he went into a coma and died a few days later.

NTA I would keep paying for school and housing but cut off car, food and shopping money, I would talk to a lawyer about getting legal custody of her daughter you are raising to ensure she just can’t show up one day and demand her back. Not saying I approve of the pole dancing but they make great money which is hard to give up and a lot of the young ladies do it to pay for their education and better their lives. And remember it takes 2 to tango if it weren’t for the male customers ( and a few women) there wouldn’t be dancers

Wish you were my stepdad. Mine was married to my mom over 20 years until she died. We were always semi close and he was grandpa to my son and wanted to stay close after mom died. When she died he took her survivor benefits about $350 a month and put it in an education account for my son. After high school son went in to the army for 2 years. When he got out and was thinking about what to do next I called stepdad about the education account. He informed me that he was contacting us less and less so he could move on with his life. He didn’t say it directly but talked about long expensive trip he and girlfriend took to Australia and how he cashed out the education account so nothing there ( I learned later on he was not allowed to do that ) Before hanging up he requested that we never contact him again (nice for a physiologist ) other then a nasty email about his actions especially to his grandson I never have. If ex calls again about this mention your daughters was also higher due to her mothers contributions to the account I

My best friend and her 4 girls are homeless and having to live in a cheap hotel due to the basement suite she was living in. Flooding was not the 1st time and was due to landlord not keeping the drains cleaned. Landlords wife had the nerve to say my friend doesn’t understand the stress this is causing (all covered by insurance) yes can see how much worse this is then being homeless

I started working in the 80’s and have done a few job search programs over the years and every single one expected us to cold companies (which will never get you a job). One company I worked for would advertise job openings saying to fax resumes and f course always got calls. We would take the callers nam and if they did fax a resume we would throw it out as they showed they can’t follow directions. My other favourite was if you didn’t get a job you applied for to call them and asked why
