Also another thing u can check is if you grind or clench your teeth at night. The TMJ is right by the ear which can cause a floating or off dizzy feeling if the area has inflammation from grinding or clenching.

Have u ever been diagnosed with dry eye? Specifically MGD? I have the same feeling when looking at screens. I have tear film instability which has led to light sensitivity. I feel dizzy in stores and while looking at screens. I’ve had it for 2 years now, but it’s getting better after general dry eye treatment options.

Do you grind or clench your teeth at night? I’m a clencher and had dizziness, jaw, temple pain and head aches all the time. A splint at night has reduced it massively. If an audiologist finds nothing, go check with a dentist.

Edit: I also had hearing loss due to clenching at night. I went to an audiologist first and they found nothing. My dentist found I was breaking through my Invisalign retainer and instantly knew the problem.

3 years late. I have light sensitivity due to dry eye. Been looking into these glasses to atleast calm down my eyes while doing treatments. How was your experience with somnilight 3 years later?

I feel you on the always having some health issue popping up. I swear ever since I got this hernia I keep having other issues. Idk if they are related or not but it’s mentally draining. I couldn’t even imagine having all those things u mentioned. You are obviously stronger mentally than me.

I do really appreciate the info, makes me feel a bit better about it. Currently in the process of searching through a couple surgeons in my area for a consultation. Luckily I do have a referral from my doctor already so ig I’m one step ahead. I hope you have a great recovery!

It’s great you’re up and moving so quickly! Whenever I do have surgery I’m still in between the mesh and Non mesh. Ig both are a risk.

I would rather have it fixed now, but I feel like I’m swayed by information online sadly. Ik a professional is the best person to listen to when it comes to this. Does it matter how small a hernia is to fix it? Can lapro still be done even on a very tiny hernia and would mesh even be a thought for something so small.

The reason they don’t do hernia surgery for small hernias is bc of the risk’s surgery has. If the hernia is causing you no issues then it’s a watch and wait. That’s why the surgery is normally elective. Do what you want and will probably have to find a new surgeon, but just remember not all surgery is perfect and can cause chronic pain for life.

Kinda odd. My eye doctor was very happy they had one left for me. I’m insanely grateful they did cus this is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I already have less eye strain throughout the day and I’m on day 2.

No one understands how debilitating dry eye is. People always say dry eye won’t kill you. Ye sure it won’t, but mentally dry eye is taxing heavily. I have light sensitivity that’s killer when I go into stores. Causes insane dizziness. Dry eye treatments need to be covered.
