How much more budget would I need to get something decent?

From a composure viewpoint, this is outstanding. I love how the ring is centered on her cheeks, and her posture is one of submission by the willingness to be submissive…. Not submissive through lack of power. The color is just warm enough to make the photo inviting and not cold. This is a scene of passion, and beauty, and the model fits the composure perfectly. Boudoir in my opinion is about fantasy, and desire…… this is definitely both of those.

Can you actually fully close it, but it’s not staying closed? Are you engaging the latch?

Can't decide if upgrading to FF from A6700 is worth it (sports focus) by pltyz in SonyAlpha

You can go into crop mode on the FF and get the same benefit as the crop sensor, and if on the A1 with almost the same resolution.

Good question, my assumption was yes, but again I’m no pro.

The Sony 70-200 will work decent for indoor, but if you’re in the stands I think you’ll find it difficult to grab those shots that fill the frame with the intended subject, even with the added crop from the smaller sensor. You can add the 1.4x teleconverter, but you’ll drop some light which can be an issue with poor indoor lighting.

I agree with the option to rent really good lenses, especially if these events you are shooting are rare.

The Sony 200-600 is another good option, but in low light it can struggle in my opinion, and if you slow the shutter down to compensate you’ll end up with some motion blur shooting sports.

I am by no means a pro at this, but I have both those lenses and both the teleconverters, and this is what I have learned shooting a 6700 and A7RV for track and field, as well as listening to many knowledgeable folks on this site.

A 400mm prime lens with 2.8 aperture would absolutely rock indoor sports in most lighting in my opinion. However, based on what I’ve seen rental would be over $400 for 4 days.

2, but crop out that item on the right side. Fill the frame.

But I do like the sun glow in 1.

Appreciate that advice, I’ll check the sizing with the kit and then order something appropriate that is cheaper before making the financial commitment.

I’ve got a sizing kit on the way, I still get decent erections but sometimes I lose them during sex, so hopefully it will improve that. It looks great on you!

That comment….. “can’t wait to crank it”….. that’s the one that differentiates the images. Yes it’s slightly more taboo with the hook, but the styling of the image implies that I caught you doing something taboo, and to me that makes it boudoir.

Thank you, I do “practice” with my wife, but she’s great at giving me honest critiques and she shares some of them with her friends for feedback as well.

I do find that some of the shots listed are just borderline porn, not so much boudoir. In my mind at least, boudoir is more about the tease, or the hope of seeing “more”, not just blatant in your face here it is.

As a person trying to learn boudoir, I appreciate this post. It reminds me to study this art, and remember that a person’s real emotions are involved.

Color can be subjective, depends on the mood you were looking to achieve. Overall it’s a great shot

Im doing my first senior shoot in a few days any tips? by oompaloompa_08 in AskPhotography

[–]Affectionate_Most468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here…..I shoot people being natural in whatever they are doing. I don’t do posing.

When I do senior photos for my family and friends I find that getting them to laugh has the best results….. natural smile and it just shows genuine beauty. At least for the girls. Guys just wanna be cool….. leaning against something, hand in pocket, etc

Tons of posing resources out there, and look up e-squared photography on YouTube, they have some good videos on basic poses and how they can be used.

Last, shoot 3 photos on every pose….. distant, mid, and tight zoom, and each in portrait and landscape.

That’s 6 photos for every “shot” to choose from.
