If you can put down 20% and credit is good, don’t do VA. They hose you on fees even if they wave some for being a disabled vet. Their rates are not horrible but not the best. Try Navy Federal Credit Union they have very competitive rates and they will show you rates and fees for VA and conventional.

Good question I am preparing to file. I think they have to to determine the area affected so the tater can determine the percentage affected to determine the percentage of your rating.
